Please buy a separate mic and headphone. For 150 dollars you're getting mediocre headphone and a mic in one if you choose to buy this.

Any suggestions for alternatives (on a headset, not separate items)? My situation doesn't suit having a standalone mic (plus, I like the wireless aspect).

      Edit: not my neg btw.

I use this exact pair for gaming and work calls and think it is pretty good value, especially because it is wireless.

I did a fair bit of research and the microphone stands up pretty well vs all the other wireless headsets. I honestly think you'll like this unless you're a real audiophile.

Thanks muchly. I've got all the gear I need for work stuff so it's only for some giggles whilst gaming. How's the fit? (I've got a larger noggin so keen to know if they'll be comfortable for a coupe hours at a time)

        Hyper X Cloud II

        • Wireless ones have never been this cheap. Plus read they also have issues with build quality.

      • Like another user said, hyper x cloud 2 which is well tuned. Unless you really need wireless, its much better to my ears.

Thing is most wireless headsets are turds when it comes to sound. Most I've tried are offensive to my ears. Hence Why I recommend against it.

I am not sure why zjz93 think its mediocre, but I have been using it for 19 months(got it on blackfriday2020) and I like it very much. They are decent in sound quality and build, very comfy but I have to take it off if I wear it for more than 4 hours as I play apex for long sessions. It is definitely worth this price. So far I haven't had any issues other than fact that Bluetooth range is not great.

why is there always an audiophile snob everytime a headset deal is being posted, like go away.

no one asked for your opinion go back to your treble abused grados

      • -4

Keep buying razer garbage with the earrape treble and pure mud bass. Reason why new razer headsets arent getting better is because people like you keep buying this trash.

        • +1

          earrape treble

Ironic, coming from someone who's an audiophile and most likely praises KSC75 as the second coming of Christ. Don't you have raging comments to post on at z reviews. Shoo. This is gamer territory, no one cares about how flat your 8KHz is.

Because it's better value for money (note: not Grado, or Beyer), especially over the long term. Wireless audio sucks right now, but it's not far away from getting a lot better and quite quickly.

Until then, appreciate that $150 can often produce a much better result, especially if you can be satisfied with a wire. Razer - despite owning THX these days - don't have a lot of good headsets, maybe just the one. The Blackshark isn't it.

  • Already got a mic, want to get rid of my headphone cable. What would be a good wireless low latency pair of headphones that I can primarily use for gaming? Not much else other than this in the wireless gaming headphones space so any recommendations?

    • Audeze Penrose and daylight, but you'll need to accept a fairly limited range. In return, you get much higher quality, in part because that distance/bandwidth trade-off, the other part being it's $400 headset (but high value for money).

Bluetooth LE Audio with LC3/LC3 Plus is the future of all audio, and largely the death of gaming headsets. Will grant higher audio quality, both for mic & headphone component, and offer low latency on all headphones/headsets.

Why stick with Razer, HyperX or Steelseries for a closed back, when AKG could knock them out of the park without breaking a sweat? Alternatively, you could switch things up to an open back solution… lots of possibilities.

I have this headset. Works great. No complaints.

  • I've got Logitech g pro x's (wired) and I'm well over the cable. would this be side grade or down grade? I'd be able to attach the blue mic from them into this by the look also?

  • +1

Great headphones, latency isn't noticeable to me. Only complaints are the micro USB charging port isn't great after a year and Razer synapse randomly swapping back to THX spatial audio.

  • Bought 'em on Friday and got the 12% Cashrewards too. You can tell they aren't the same sound quality as even a QC35, but, for $136 or so I paid in the end, they're a great buy!
