IMO they're true to size but VERY slim fitting. Hence if you're not stick-thin then you'll need the size up.
Agree. I’m a fairly normal build so a size up is right for me.

I don't size up. I buy medium jumpers and jackets with Superdry and other brands.
I find Superdry t-shirts can be a mix though—I currently fit a small.

Superdry feels like it has more premium materials. I would say they are about the same. That being said Uniqlo is better value, although Superdry comes close when on sale.
Does anybody know how the length (both body and sleeve) of Superdry jackets compare to Uniqlo in general?
I once purchased an older model Super Fuji Jacket and found the chest and shoulders fit fine, but the body and sleeve lengths were too long. I ended up returning it. I am an XS in Uniqlo and their puffer jackets fit fine.
Superdry more 'sofisticated' and premium feel, and trendy too. Uniqlo is more simple yet higher quality and good value. if Superdry is on discount, I definitely go with Superdry.
How warm is this compared to down jacket?
It depends on the fill power of the down jacket. The packaway non hooded fuji is a lighterweight poly fill jacket and won't be comparable to a down jacket. The non hooded fuji however has more substantial poly fill and is compareable in warmth to the Core Down Jacket
