  • I don't think any other earphones still sell at the same price despite being over 10 years old…
Nowadays I feel like you can get much better quality IEMs for the same price

    • That is because they are not the same price, $99 in 2012 is worth $117 today if you believe the official inflation statistics

"Not for bass heads, tuned for mids and vocals with good isolation"
Excellent fit and isolation (se215 shape remains my all time favourite), however tuning is terrible by today's standards, unusable for bass heads and terrible for neutral sound. Technicals are quite bad too - both get clapped by $20 moondrop chu, or $30-40 CCA CRA by a significant margin.

    • Yup, no longer relevant really and only sells because of branding.

    • Totally agree. You can get some amazing Chi-Fi products now days. Any personally recommendation for chi-fi earphones around the $100 mark?

      • Moondrop Arias are apparently really good and they're $115. I've bought some but have yet to listen.

      • KZ ZAX

      • I personally disliked the Aria, too safe of a tuning for me. Can highly recommend the T3 Plus tho, excellent bass response and an almost sparkly treble.

      • FiiO may have some great options

      • Moondrop Arias, KZ ZS10 Pro

    • I've tried two or three cheap indie Chinese brands and have always been fairly disappointed. I think the last one was a kz zs5. I mean for the $30 it was fine, but compared to some $100 sennheisers i had, they weren't great.

      • Did you compare a $30 IEM to a $100 IEM?

        • I mean hpdeskjet said that a $30 pair "clapped" these $100+ pair…

  • Sure, a bit outdated now, but I will say mine have lasted close to 6 years now after using them EVERY single day.

    • But the sound crap. Have you ever tried something else?

      • Yeah, I use my HD58x's throughout the day and these at night while watching YT. I'll upgrade IEMs when they die.

Would recommend the Westone UM Pro10 for $85 on Amazon for a better fitting IEM and better sounding overall.

    • Too bright, didn't do it for me

  • They sound too warm for my tastes and the soundstage is small, but the build quality is stellar and it is one of the most comfortable earphones ever. You can sleep with them with no problem.

Pretty much the only audience who might still buy these tbh.

  • etymotics are so much better.
