  • Which is the better mouse? This or Razer viper?

      the are different mouses.

lets assume your talking about the Viper V2 Pro.

      1. more expensive
      2. better sensor
      3. V3 buttons, instead of the V2 buttons in the Deathadder
      4. way lighter
      5. no lighting
      6. ambidext

I have the Deathadder, my better half JUST got the Viper V2 Pro.

I would say, both are great mouses; if you like to be the best, then sure get the Viper.
If your a bit more thrifty, then DeathAdder is fine.

I have always been a Razer DA fan since its first wired version came out. Mainly because its ergonomic for my hand (medium size-right handed).
I have this (V2 Pro Wireless) now and absolutely love it.
Can switch between Bluetooth for work and 2.4 GHz for my personal computer/gaming. Additionally, it also doesnt have the double click issue which Razer mice used to develop before.
The only issue I have, which is rare, is that sometimes Razer Synapse would create a new profile for my mouse which would change the settings that I have. This only happens when I switch between devices. This is more of a problem with Razer software than the hardware.

      • Never had the double click issue on the DA when I first purchased around 2008. Lasted 10 years before I couldn't click anymore. Purchased another one in 2016…double click issue developed in 2021…

Agree the software isn't great. My blackwidow keyboard keeps getting removed…

I don't have Viper, But I use DA for work and gaming. No issue so far.

Depends on your hand size, I have and love the Viper Ultimate, tried this and no good for me, hump is too big.

      • Fair. However, I like it precisely because the hump is so big. It has alleviated the RSI I was experiencing in my hand from my claw/palm grip. I guess it depends on your hand/grip style and preferences.

  • I bought the halo edition of this the other day for $70… Seems to be around that price at a lot of outlets.
    Arrived yesterday, feels very nice!

Edit- my bad, it's the wired version, still a decent deal! :)

    • Halo wired was 29on eBay before I think there was a deal.

  • Are razer wireless mice any good now? I got a Mamba back in the day, and returned it pretty much immediately. It was bad, had some serious polling issues that made it pretty much worthless as a mouse. Between that and the Blackwidow keyboard that had multiple switches fail on me after a couple of months, I kinda swore of Razer products.

    • Had my wireless deathadder for a year and it has been excellent

Good to know, I'll definitely keep it in mind next time I need a mouse, I did like the ergonomics of the Mamba
