Six Classic EA Strategy Games for $2.99ea @ GOG "Rule the EA Worlds" Sale

80

G'day everyone, I'm sure many of you have heard of these classic games at some point in your lives and they are currently half price at GOG this weekend.

Games on offer are:
Dungeon Keeper
Dungeon Keeper 2
Populous
Populous 2: Trials of the Olympian Gods
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri
SimCity 2000 Special Edition

All six of these are priced at $2.99 each.

One thing to be aware of is that some people are reporting Dungeon Keeper 2 doesn't work on Windows 7. I will be testing it out later to see if I can get it working properly but most people probably won't want to be buying it quite yet. I'm sure GOG will fix this at some point in the future, but for now it's confirmed working on Windows XP if you wanted to whip out them trusty Pentium 4's :D

EDIT: FabMan posted a fix for Dungeon Keeper 2 on Windows 7 in the first comment below. I'm assuming the "." that you need to remove from GOG.com is for the install directory which would normally look like "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\gametitle". Once you open the installer click the options button to change the install folder name and remove the "." so it just looks like GOGcom.

I have Dungeon Keeper 2 and Windows 7 64-Bit, it works. Make sure that when you install it you don't put a . in Gogcom like most of there games have. I got 4 out of 6 for this pack and they are awesome.

    • Thanks very much for this info, I will add it to the deal :)

  • Oh wow I remember playing Populous I & II - couldn't think of playing games that old now as in my mind the graphics were awesome and I'll just be disappointed. Polpulous:The beginning wasn't a true successor to these titles and they really should bring the original style back a-la Monkey Island HD - they'd make good games for tablets.

  • Can't wait to play dungeon keeper again. Cheers

  • I had populas on the Amiga, thought it was great. But now it is so old , is it really even worth $2.99?
