Gas Heater - Omega Altise or Rennai Avenger?

Hi, looking at getting one for home. Have anyone use omega altise 25mj? It comes with 7 yrs warranty. Most friends have rennai but that's about $800 more. Would love to hear anyone experience. Won't use it for sleep. Just to warm up early in the morning and maybe before bed. Thanks!

Edited - heater to place in open living space covering kitchen, dining and lounge. Centre location of the house.

No point paying this much for a gas heater. Put in a split system aircon instead, use it on reverse cycle when you want heat. Much more efficient, and since you're not burning anything, it's much better quality air as well.

    • I already have evaporative in the house and we managed to survive summer so far. That's why thinking to get gas heater only plus the location we want it is hard to have split unless have the long ducting across the wall.

      • You'll still need to run a gas line and have a flue going outside for a gas heater.

        • Already have gas boyanets and this is unflue so just need some windows ventilation

  • I’d buy the Rinnai, is a quality product and made in Japan.
Omega seems to be hiding the fact it’s made in China.

  • As someone said I'd just ditch gas and the evaporative altogether for a split, that way you can get rid of ugly box up roof and fit solar in, it probably cost 5-6k all up but you don't worry about running cost. A 7kw split will do the job nicely.
