For anyone who still hasn't bit the bullet on the previous Game Pass Deals, this comes out a bit cheaper than the last few deals.

As pointed out by https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/12210947/redir that the max stacking allowed is 36 months, use the following steps to get 35 months of Game Pass Ultimate:

  1. Purchase 8 codes
  2. Redeem code on http://redeem.microsoft.com/ or your xbox
  3. Enroll for auto renewal to get one extra month
  4. Turn off auto renew
  5. Repeat 7 more times
  6. Purchase Game Pass for $1 or $15.95(whichever is applicable to you) from https://www.xbox.com/en-AU/xbox-game-pass

Some maths for anyone who is interested (includes the $5.4 fee charged by Eneba)
New User:
(8 x 9.29)+ 5.4 +1= 74.32+5.4+1= $80.72 ($ 2.3 per month)

Lapsed User:
(8 x 9.29)+ 5.4+15.95= 74.32+5.4+15.95= $95.67 ($2.73 per month)

    Took a little while but worked for me.

    Note: Microsoft seems to be doing a $0 charge on your credit card when you enabled renewal.
    Doing this multiple times flagged my credit card for fraud.

      Approx how much time do you spend per week doing Game Pass/Rewards quests to have enough points to pay for GPU each month?

        Honestly not that much at all. The Bing searches & Daily Quizzes on Rewards alone will get you around 200-250 per day for about 5-10 minutes work. Doing the Game Pass daily quest is a simple as opening a game pass game and that's another 10 points. Weekly quests are usually easy and don't take very long either. I can usually get the required 6800 points (I'm level 2) in around 3 weeks. This gets you one month Gold which converts to 20 days Ultimate, so i'm always able to get enough points to keep ahead of the auto renew. If you keep up your daily/weekly streaks and do the Monthly Quests there's more points again.

          Really? I've written a 3-part novel down below.

          In short: you can load up Xbox Gold Live subs with an active PC Game Pass. But I cancelled it "effective immediately" (MS even refunded me the $1) before converting XBL to Ultimate.

          Don't buy codes from PayForKey on Eneba, use VA Games. Proper global keys with the bonus month. Good luck!

    Still trying to get my head around the maths here.
    I got 7x 3 month codes, plus a free month for doing the recurring dance, that should be 28 months of Gold.
    But when I converted to GPU, I ended up with 31.5 months.
    How?

    Worked it out. I also paid them $15.95 as part of the GPU upgrade.

    So in total, $92 for 31 months.

    It must treat you as a new user when you haven't been subbed for (x) amount of time. I remember trying gamepass for $1 when it first launched in beta back in 2019. Haven't used it since. Just did this method and it let me take advantage of the $1 for the first 3 months.

    Done! 35 months at $82.74 (28 Degrees) + $1 for a brand new subscription.

    Could someone please confirm if recurring subscription can be cancelled after step 6 (Purchase Game Pass for $1)? The Microsoft 'Turn off recurring billing' screen is slightly different than it was when I was cancelling 8 * Live Golds. It is now saying that if I turn off recurring billing I will lose all the benefits of Ultimate Pass. Or at least this is the way I read it.

      Yes, same concept. Just turn off recurring billing, there's another confirmation screen before you confirm and this will tell you the details.

    Avoid seller PayForKey on Eneba. Just bought 8 "global" keys, supposedly "Can be activated in Australia" and they all failed to redeem.

      Out of curiosity, and because average length of time to resolve support tickets on Eneba is 96hours(!!!), I tried the Turkey VPN thing used in previous deals and this allowed me to redeem the codes. Albeit stupidly slowly.

      However the extra month for enabling recurring billing each time never worked. I turned it off and on every time. After the fifth or sixth attempt MS claimed that my bank wouldn't verify my CC.

      And one of the codes activated but didn't extend my actual subscription. I tested all 8 codes again and all said they had been redeemed, but my Order History only shows 7 $0 redemption transactions and they don't list the specific codes used. So in the end I've only got 21 months of Gold Live for $79. And I assume I'll have to pay another $16 when I do the Ultimate conversion, so fingers crossed that works.

      If I try to contact MS I fear they'll notice all the VPN GeoRestricted stuff and just can my whole account.

        Figured I won't be getting a refund for anything from Eneba and it'll still be cheaper to try and max out the 36 months before Ultimate conversion. So I bought 3 more 3 month codes off the VA Games seller mentioned above. These worked without a VPN and I was prompted to turn on recurring for the bonus month after hitting NEXT on the redeem page.

        The crappy NOTGlobal-Turkish codes from PayForKey did not have this prompt and are not valid for the bonus month. I was manually enabling/disabling recurring from the main subscriptions page each time to no effect.

        So my 35 months ended up costing a bit less than $120 (lapsed user) all up. Obviously as an OzBargainer I will lose sleep over this for many nights until the next good bargain gives me that dopamine hit.

        tl;dr avoid PayForKey on Eneba.

          ive been backing and forthing with Eneba and they want me to go to Microsoft to sort it out. i logged in again to my account for microsoft today to double check some things and my subscription period was extended to Jan 2025, then when i did the upgrade to Ultimate for $1 for one month with an extra 2 free months, my account now says June 2025 is when my subscription ends.

        Argh, this exact thing happened to me with the 8 codes and only 7 showing in my MS account and only getting 28 months though. but when i tested all my codes again, they all say redeemed. i raised tickets with Eneba for the two codes that i think let me down saying that they didnt give me the 4 months that they should have, ill wait to hear from them, and if they dont issue me new codes, ill then go bother microsoft.

      Yeah, you need your Game Pass to be expired before the process works. Buy now while cheap and save them for a few weeks.

      I'd also fight tooth and nail to disconnect your account from Telstra. Any funny buggery on their side (e.g. moving to Optus) and they can and will overreach to cancel your Game Pass - even though you are now paying separately for it. Happened to a few people from what I recall reading.

      Depends which seller you buy from on Eneba. It's sorted by cheapest by default. I got keys that claimed to be GLOBAL but only worked through Turkey VPN and didn't qualify for the bonus month. See above. Use VA Games if possible.

      You can buy single codes, test them, then buy more if you want to be cautious and avoid the CC issue. You only convert the Xbox Live Gold to Ultimate as the last step.

    initially bought one 3 month eneba code to see if it would add 3 months to live as a precaution and code worked fine

    proceeded to buy another 7 and followed the steps didn't get $1 deal but bought the $15.95

    1 x 3 months eneba $10.26
    7 x$3 months eneba 77.65
    1 x xbox ultimate update $15.95

    total $103.86

    xbox ultimate auto renew date is 30/06/2025

    Result: 1102 days
    It is 1102 days from the start date to the end date, but not including the end date.
    Or 3 years, 6 days excluding the end date.
    Or 36 months, 6 days excluding the end date.

    if i were to purchase that thru Microsoft at $15.95 a month x 36m the cost would be $574.20
    with eneba codes cost me $2.88 a month x 36m for a total of $103.86

    not a bad little saving i say :-)

    Thanks guys. Took me ages to apply the codes. The repeated enabling and disabling recurring billing caused massive banking issues.

    Called the bank. They report no problem at their end but MS won't process any payment. Called MS and they could see the failed auth attempts but blamed the bank.

    Long story short: MS said to try in 24h. Glad it's working for others. Got a series X yesterday purely for game pass and it's currently a paperweight. Hopefully tomorrow will be better 🙏

      First code went through, revealed 2 more codes which both had same error… haven’t revealed any further codes & have submitted a ticket to eneba.

      Worst case I’ll try a PayPal dispute & try again through cdkeys.

    I needed to buy 9 of the 3 month codes, and each time I activated one it offered the extra month in exchange for turning on auto renewal. I went and turned it off, then activated another one.

    The last code threw an error, because the bonus month took my membership past 36 months, so I tried to reactivate the code again, leaving the extra month and auto-renewal off: it activated then and that took me to 36 months.

    Then from the subscriptions page, there was a link to upgrade to Ultimate, offered at $1, no worries.

    Hi please help.
    I've just purchased my Xbox series X today.
    I purchased 8 of the codes as in the instructions but realised this is Xbox live not Xbox game pass.
    The title says gamepass so I am very confused. I want the subscription that allows me to access the games not the subscription that allows me to play online - hope his makes sense.
    Does anyone know whether this is for gamepass or just playing online?

      Correct this is for xbox live, if you follow the instructions op has put after you put the last code in you'll be able to upgrade to game pass for $1 or $15.95.
