Incredible price for an incredible smokey whisky.

Laphroaig select combines five specially selected casks of our iconic islay scotch. Our master distiller carefully draws whisky matured the historic way in Oloroso sherry butts, Pedro Ximinez seasoned hogsheads, and first-fill bourbon quarter casks to create this distinctive blend. The heart is drawn from a final maturation in new, American oak a rarity in Scotch whisky production which adds bold flavour.

The final addition is our quintessential single malt scotch, Laphroaig 10, which is aged for a decade. With flavours of smoky peat, spicy oak, and a surprising sweetness, Laphroaig Select is a fantastic introduction to peated whisky.

A hand selected blend of single malt casks creates a unique character. Mix of American and European oak sherry and bourbon casks Heart of spirit drawn from American oak casks, rarely used in scotch. Complex, deep whisky with notes of oak, peat, and sweetness.

    How did you get the maths to $54? $80 - 30% = $56.

    Fantastic deal regardless!

You are absolutely right. It must be the alcohol.

  • Throw in a bottle of wine for $20 and you get free delivery and are still on the 30% off cash back cap. Happy with that value.

Isn't it normally 30% off the pre-GST price? So $21.82 cashback

    • Correct… 80/1.1*0.3 = $21.82.

      80-21.82 = $58.18.

    • Confirmed. Tracked at $21.82.

  • The Select cask doesn't seem to get great reviews. The 10 is a little better but the quarter cask seems to be the one to go for. Anyone tried them all and can compare?

    • Quarter>10yo>Select. If you're going Non-age statement Laphroaig, the quarter casks enhance the maturation but maintain the phenolics of a younger Islay Whisky. Plus I think they bottle it at 48% vs 40% on the 10yo and Select. Select is the dregs of the distillery.

      • Thanks! Will keep a look out for a deal on the QC

  • Showing OOS for me (QLD)

  • There is a certain warm coziness that comes from whooping DM's price.
