Mens Long Sleeve Tshirt Recommendations

Any suggestions for a good quality mens long sleeve tshirt?
Looking for something basic like this one from Bonds, but a little more fitted:

I was tempted at some of the Kmart and Big W ones for around $10 - can anyone provide feedback on quality? does it last more than a handful of washes?

AS Colour when they are on special.

Wash up great. Are a good weight. Neck and wrist openings hold good shape.

    Not many colours though.

      "Not many colours though."

I'm no AS colour expert, but is this tongue in cheek?

Not on this occasion. There's only about 10 colours in the long sleeve variant. There's (at a guess) about 30 for the short sleeve Tees.

I'd consider 10 colours quite a lot of colour choice! haha

    • Thanks! These look really good!
How often do they go on sale?

They hold their shape well in the sense they don't stretch, but the stitching on the one I bought started coming loose after the first wear.

Got these a while ago … seem to be going OK so far.

Have to be careful with them, neck and sleeves stretch easily and don’t go back

I've bought cheap ones from Kmart, they are really comfortable. They are thin, no heavyweight cotton here. But they have lasted ages and more than happy with them. Although I bought mine probably 3 to 5 years ago (I have several) so whether or not the current items are the same or not who knows. Hit the discount rack, there is always one somewhere in the store, can probably get something for well under $10

Its not like you are taking a huge financial risk. Its a cotton t-shirt. It lasts or it doesnt last, you spill red wine over it or you dont. Dont overthink it

edit: I have several of these ones, although different colours https://www.kmart.com.au/product/long-sleeve-raglan-t-shirt-… As said, very comfortable and soft, have lasted years. But thin. Because they are thin you can go a size down if you want 'very fitted' because they stretch well.

    • yeah i'm just being a choosey beggar at $10 lol - i'm well prepared for it to not last a few washes, but if you're saying yours have lasted awhile, then that's sold me :D

    Uniqlo?

Though they can be a little bit #freethenipple lol

    • the fit seem too relaxed, but i'll have another look :)

The Kmart and Big W (Brilliant Basics) ones are a bit on the thin side but are comfortable. They are cheap so I don't expect them to last for more than 2 years.

  • Another vote for the AS Colour ones. Capz will sometimes have multi buys on these, that's when I pick them up. Their hoodies are good quality for the price as well.

Australian Stitch are my go-to (made in Australia as well).

The Big W waffle style tops are nice, not too thick and last. $10 https://www.bigw.com.au/product/brilliant-basics-men-s-long-…

I got one of these a few years ago in blue. It's lasted, but the colour has faded a fair bit and a lot of lint, so I use them as PJs now.

    Giordano are nice.

    • genuinely forgot this brand existed! checking the website now - it looks really good! :)

How do they fit though? In my experience a lot of aldi shirts are too wide in the body/waist. If you try to go a size or two smaller so that the waist fits the sleeves end up too short. It’s almost as if aldi think everyone is short, fat or both.

  • I buy the Gildan heavy duty ones from Amazon. Plenty of colours.
