If you want chocolate that tasted like when you where a kid, then this is for you.

Cadbury has been slowly taking out the expensive cocoa and replacing it with sugar. Whittaker’s tastes like Cadbury did years ago.

3 blocks probably isn’t enough. ;)

I think there’s a gene for liking this like coriander because it tastes like wax to me but some people love it. i much prefer the stuff from aldi

Well at least it isn't as bad as preferring Cadbury, they've definitely put something in there (other than sugar) to make me addicted.

    • Which ones do you prefer from Aldi? Haven't had any from there yet.

    • This one's still at $4/block, but I'm not expecting that to last so get in quick

Aldi and Whittaker's both make me recall childhood easter, but there's something about Whittaker's block density that keeps then in high regard for me. Only when on special though haha.

      …and only 98% fat

  • Texture is good, however their chocolates are tasting sweeter for me, I dont buy anymore.

Their jelly tip one was great, too

    • Yeah had that a few weeks ago, was good!

    $4.80 not $4

    • It was 33% off not long ago

Same price like Coles now $4.80. No Bargain!

Best chocolate I've had in recent years…

  • It's always this price at big W btw.

    Nevermind it's changed

  • I remember back when Hallensteins started their ecommerce feature, they used to include small Whittaker chocolates with online orders. It was a great touch! Now… No such luck :(

    Yuk, tried it. Too sweet.

Also tried their dark Ghana 72% and it's worse than cooking chocolate. Still too sweet, too hard (thick) to bite, unpleasant after taste. You basically have to suck it until it melts.

Amazing how much horrible chocolate there is in Australian supermarkets.

    • I'll second that.. sugar content is too high. Tastes like the cheapo import easter eggs to me.
