How Many Entertainment Subscription Based Services You Are Paying for?

Hi all,
The purpose of this poll is too see how many of us Bargainers are spending each month on subscription services. Please provide your honest answers.

** Not including any channels or influencer accounts. Only platforms such as Amazon prime, Netflix, Spotify, YouTube premium, playstation, Xbox premium, etc. **

Thanks for your awesome input everyone. I would like to emphasize again that this poll is solely for the purpose of gathering subscriptions for the mainstream media/gaming/movies/tv/news/sports/documentaries, etc categories.

This poll does not include any adult related content website subscriptions.

Please input the number for subscriptions you are actively paying for only. Free subscriptions should not be counted.
For ex - I have access to Netflix, PS, Amazon prime, binge, flash, kayo, YouTube premium.
However I only pay for YouTube premium only so my poll choice is 1 only.

Thank you very much for your involvement.

While most people are gong to keep their costs down and only sub to services they need/want, I think if you want to blanket entertainment as your post suggest then you should have an option for 10+. In streaming video alone in Aus that I can think of there are:

    • Netflix
    • AppleTV
    • Paramount+
    • Disney+
    • PrimeVideo
    • Stan
    • Binge
    • Fetch TV
    • Kayo
    • Youtube Premium
    • Probably more but you get the idea.

Gaming wise lots of people pay subs for:

    • Playstation Plus
    • Xbox Gamepass
    • Nintendo Online
    • Apple Arcade
    • Google Gamepass
    • Twitch
    • Sub based MMO's etc
    • Again, there will be more that I'm not thinking of but you get the idea.

    Even just:

    • VPNs if used to gain access to international content or pricing.
    • Usenet
    • Private trackers
    • Hosting/Seedbox subscriptions,

As you can see this can stack up, heck, one could make the argument that Tesla Premium counts as a monthly sub under the entertainment category based on the fact it gives you unlimited access to the data connection allowing you to stream Youtube and Netflix, plus I'm sure there are others not listed in this post that might fall broadly under entertainment depending on how you look at it.

Maybe just "streaming video" would make more sense, that or as mentioned add a 10+ just to capture those who crazy folk who pay too much.

    • Well. Your comment makes sense however number 10 or 10+ is less of a deal as there are relatively very less fraction of people with access to that many number of subs. Even if you look at the data above. Only 24 people are having more than 10 subs and moreover I would say that data is not error free as there will be people who have not read the post fully and would be including their not paying or not actively paying subs in the vote. Whereas if you look at 1,2,3 subs there are a lot of people in number paying for that many services. On top, people with no subs at all are leading the charts.

And Tesla sub I won't consider it. As a person using any other car brand won't be using it. It's only for people having Tesla's.
Let me know what you think.

    Playstation Plus, Netflix and Disney+.

I don't want to have too many subscriptions, so I just to have as few as possible, plus I don't really feel like I have enough time to enjoy what I already have as it is.

    • Apple one (includes music, arcade and tv)
    • Netflix (subbed through…Turkey I think?)
    • YouTube premium (Subbed through Argentina)
    • prime video (as part of prime sub)
    • paramount plus (only because of the price error deal from last year; will be ending in September)

I leech Stan, Disney and binge from friends and family.

  • flixoid for me. put it on firestick and can find anything i wanna watch for free.

  • Prime, Foxtel (grandfathered docs pack for $10p/m) and Apple Music.

  • RealDebrid and Kodi

    • +1

      Kodi isn't a subscription though.

    • Realdebrid, never even heard of it. What type of service is it?
And Kodi is not a subscription service.

      • it's a huge library of cached torrents that people pay about 3 euro a month for I think it is
you can use an addon in kodi that connects to it to stream movies/tv

        • -1

          Sorry that cannot be included.

          • +1

            @Crustydumpling: good, and I don't have it.

          • +2

@Crustydumpling: No problem. It’s a subscription service where you pay for up front number of months to access to a range of streaming and torrent sources that feeds into Kodi or other platforms

          • @Crustydumpling: It's a streaming service you pay a monthly sub for (just because it's a Kodi addon, isn't reason for exclusion)
Kodi has so many streaming service plug-ins, it's not just for playing your local media or torrents after you download, but streams live from torrent feeds.
I moved to Plex, and the lack of plug-ins to the streaming services is what I miss the most.

            • +1

@UltimateAI: Just a tip: use both kodi and plex. Many people use emby/plex and kodi. Kodi becomes the front-end, plex still provides all the media in your library.

Then you can use whatever addons you want.

  • +1

None, fortunate enough to have a friend that shared his plex library with me. Has everything from everywhere, RSS crawlers and even a website to request media that's not automated to d/l

    Arrrrrr

Edit: i actually pay for one. $3/mo argentinian tidal family sub. Sold the slots to people for a profit

  • +1

Prime, Kayo, Nexflix, Stan, Kayo, NBA league pass, Dash Pass, Uber pass. There may be more but that's all I can think of right now.

    • Dash and Uber pass are not included

  • +1

Amazon Prime and Netflix. Though I think it's time to scrap Netflix.

Also have GPU Xbox and PS+ subscriptions.

    • Was about to but moved to Türkiye.
Downgraded from 4K to HD, can't tell as so little content is 4K

  • +1

Indian Youtube and Xbox game pass Ultimate.

  • Netflix (might drop this one, but it's cheap via Türkiye)
Prime (bloody good content, but already had prime for shipping)
Disney+ (kids love it, via Türkiye) I like the 4K IMAX content, frigging amazing.
Paramount (OZbargain pricing error, won't be renewing, app is ordinary)
You Tube Premium (via India) This is the service I use the most with Sponsorblock Plugin
Playstation Plus (still have 2 years left from a sale)
Tweaknews (includes free VPN and free proxy. VPN is slow but it's free and works, but hardly use it)
    Spotify (shared)
    iCloud
    O365 Family

    One-Off's not counted
    Plex Plus Lifetime
3 VIP Lifetime, Newsgroup Indexer Memberships

  • Patreon
    Prime
    Real-Debrid
    YouTube Premium (Argentina)

  • Netflix, Spotify, and Prime though that's mostly for free delivery.

  • Seems that Prime is far and away the most popular here, then Netflix and Spotify well ahead of the rest
