As an owner, this is a good fan and decent price. I think it’s accepted by those that purchase that this is bought based on style not only function. So, if you’re looking to create a whirlwind in your room, then buy something else - otherwise this is a reasonable fan and far quieter than most conventional fans.
Decent price on air purifier too. As BargainRunner said you are paying a premium for a style though.

As an owner, I highly recommend you not to buy this. Any other fans around $50 would do a much better job than this.

I own one. I think there’s a misconception that these Dyson fans are quieter than traditional blade fans, and are stronger. In my honest assessment, neither of these are actually strictly true.
I don’t find their highest wind level to be any stronger than my $15 40cm blade fan at its strongest level. Sitting at around 3-5 meters distance, there’s not really a discernible difference. The only upside is that it has many more levels to pick from, whereas my 40cm bladed fan has only 3.
They may be quieter at low power levels, but once you turn them up, they are definitely not quiet. I obviously didn’t measure this, but to my ears, sitting at 3-5 meters away, with both on max blast, it’s actually louder than my 40cm bladed fan.
So… if you’re buying this for these claimed advantages, should probably rethink it. You splurge on this fan because it looks fancy, and less offensive standing at the corner of the living room, and when guests come over they’ll say, “ah you got a fancy Dyson fan!”
Can't aggree more, all dyson products very noisy and create less wind/heat than old style fan/heater. I am there marketing victim too. The only exception would be their hair blower, and maybe there vacuum but after paid $1000 for V10+ I would say it only worth $400 for its effort.
I would say the Dyson corded Big Ball vacs are good and not ridiculously overpriced. They aren't fashionable and the patent has expired so they can't charge 5x what they are worth.
Most other Dyson products are overpriced and overrated.
These fans are definitely not quiet if set at speed 4+ out of 10.

What's an alternative for a nice looking fan? I have one of those Bunnings $50 and I honestly hate how cheap it looks. But if this is just overpriced then I can't figure out what else works?
