  • Interesting. DVD's aren't even HD (720p) resolution. They're 480p. Wonder why they would include a DVD player in a full HD TV.

    • +1

Maybe had a surplus of DVD players at the factory. Bundle them to sell a surplus 40" TVs. OzBers been pushing 65" UHD tvs now.

    • +1

Same argument could be made with anyone using a DVD Player with any TV manufactured in the last 10 yrs. That's the formats maximum resolution. Doesn't mean you can't watch other formats in higher resolution.

    • Probably the same reason most people still by DVD even they they own a Full HD or 4K TV. Never actually seen a built in Blu-ray player on a full HD TV.

  • Oh how TV prices have crashed… noticed some 40" Kogan LEDs FHD TVs around the mid $200s as well…

    • Saw couple of blaupunkt 32inch tv at coles for $99 other day.

  • Yet an aircon pcb with 1/100th of the parts is worth $1500.

  • After my experience with this brand I wouldn't even recommend at this price.

    • Any other recommendation? The LED back lighting on my 42" 5 year old TV has partially burned out and I've only got half an image. The manufacturer has written it off and sent me a $20 gift card. I therefore need a new TV. I only have a pension income and can't afford much more than this.
