With Harvey Norman's price matching guarantee, I guess even if you find it cheaper elsewhere they are obligated to match it.

Great price! Cheapest i've seen over these few weeks is $197 at K-Mart. Apple products rarely have huge discounts due to the low profit margin in them. Good to see HN selling something cheap for once! :)

Half Yearly Sale is all over the place, but not much worth mentioning here. However, this iPod deal is by far the nicest one :)

Firstly, I can safely say that while the 2GB Nano is so cheap at harveys, the prices for all other ipods is dead on ticket price.

I work at JB Hifi Chatswood store in Sydney. Ticket prices for all of our Ipods are better than Harvey Norman except for this one, but come in and we will gladly match $174 and if you want to get any other Ipod we don't even have to discount any further we already beat Harvey's prices.

It's just a little gimmick of theirs to get more people into the store. Shop around, you will see JB has the cheapest prices.

  I guess it is all about marketing, isn't it? Personally I don't buy anything from Harvey Normans except for items on special. Then again this website is all about items on special :)
