Bought Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 $1500, Week Later It’s $990

I bought the flip 3 from Samsung store for $1500. I opened it yesterday. Then I saw on Amazon it’s $1190 with an additional targeted $200 cash back promotion making it $990.

This is a hard pill to swallow. I’m wondering if I buy the phone from Amazon and then return it to Samsung Store using my receipt will that work ? Or will they check the serial number or something and see that it is not the same device ?

If not is there anything else to do ? My credit card I bought it with does not offer price protection.

      I feel like it’s kinda cool. Both the Amazon store and where I bought it are Samsung. So it’s a return to the same store within the return period, just a different device. Like I said, semi cool.

          There is no problem.

          If the OP had waited a day to open the box they could have returned it no questions asked.
          If they buy from amazon and return within the change of mind window its exactly the same thing.

          But because serial numbers are basically recorded on the invoice they wouldn't be able to but nothing ethically wrong with it AFAIK.

                @Muzeeb: Not sure about fraud. It’s a grey area really. These big companies basically live in the grey area so I’m not sure why consumers can’t visit once in a while.

                OP buys a product with a Samsung who have a change of mind policy.
                They return product within change of mind policy timeframe.

    Can't wait to see the next post, Samsung accusing me for fraud can I get in trouble from the police ? Samsung won't refund me the phone I purchased from Amazon this is wrong !!

    If you have paid for it on credit card I remember some of them had a feature that if you bought something and it went on sale within two weeks the credit card company would credit you the difference. Not sure if this is still around anymore.

    Otherwise you can try and return it for a refund saying that you don't need it anymore as your employer is now providing you a mob phone.

    Why don't you just try return to samsung store?
    Obviously you can't give back a different serial number.

    But you always try your luck with samsung and see if they would refund it if you say you are not happy with it etc… make up some BS

    Otherwise, it sucks but this stuff happens. You miss some bargains but enjoy the ones you get.
