Not a zero drop shoe - .6mm from heel to toe.

0.6mm is waaaaay less than Nano or Metcon fwiw. Even under armour tribase are 2mm drop. Nike around 4mm, Nano usually more depending on the model. Personally, I prefer a (close to) zero drop shoe for most training, and a heeled lifter for squatting - most trainers of this ilk more or less get you there, I wouldn’t worry about the drop as a problem.

        6mm*

        • Yep, did see that after commenting, thank you - first comment says .6mm. 6mm is very much still respectable and comparable to other popular shoes in the category.

      have you got other recommendations?

      • Personally, I prefer the Nike Metcon (anything from the 4th model to most recent) or the Reebok Nano 8, 9 or X (the XI went to a much higher heel-toe drop, which I absolutely notice when deadlifting - YMMV). Both the Nano and Metcons I find offer the most stability in the heel for squats and other compound lifts.

If you can find Under Armour Tribase Reign cheap, they’re pretty good, and the flattest of the CrossFit/lifting shoes, but to me not as comfortable and narrower in the toes.

I hope that helps you or anyone else who stumbles on this post!

    • sounds like you can feel the difference of ".6mm".
