Did officeworks not include delivery cost in the price beating?

    • Guessing you can do pick up option if there are physical stores.

    • I don't know. But it looks like there will be some beating..

    • Nah they ignored that for me.

    • +5

Officeworks wont do the beating, the wife will.

  • Post says "delivered" price - 5% off works out on my calculator… EDIT looking at page I'll have to pay $13 delivery so OP got it wrong?

    • Only if the staff remember to add delivery.

Remember, the bashing effects wears off, but you get to keep the ipad for ever! (MTBF 5-7 years)

    • +4

That’s only if the iPad doesn’t get caught in the crossfire.

    • what's MTBF?

    How thin/light is a Pro?
Ipad Air similar or regular Ipad?
A new Air is $929 with 64G so we're only talking about an extra $100.
The weight and comfort is very important to my purchase decision.
    Cheers.

  • Domestic Violence Australia says no!

  • Pretty amazing that a year has passed and the price hasn't really gone anywhere. Education pricing is still $1129, so without price beating that would still be the best option. (Plus use 10% off gift cards from Woolies/greater with Coles MC discount stacking.

Aren't new models about to be announced?

    • Most likely in October - with the new M2 chip

  • what's the benefit of having an iPad over a laptop in this price range?

    • +5

Portability, if you mainly using it for browsing (mainly ozbargain and shopping), media streaming, email, nothing beats ipad for that.

    • +2

depends on your use case. honestly though, if you want something more for media consumption, an ipad is good. the m1 ipad will also be getting stage manager which will be a better desktop experience if that's something you're after. but if you want something to do a little more than web browsing and microsoft word/excel, then a laptop is a better option.

an ipad should never ever really replace a laptop. the devices are just far too different.
