Mobile Phone Plans That Disable or Throttle Data When Exceeding Monthly Limit

Looking for a mobile plan with data for my elderly father looking at about up to $15 per month.

Has anyone come across any companies/plans where when exceeding the monthly data allowance, data is throttled or disabled? Have spoken to a few and most auto charge per MB or data packs. Which is something I want to avoid.

I believe Dodo have the option to disable but I cannot get a definitive yes and they keep on directing me to their online tools (I am not signed up to them to check).

    Belong $15 month 5GB

    • Data rolls over too and you can leave anytime. On the Telstra network.

      The Belong 20GB starter pack is half price ($12) @Coles starting tomorrow.
      Grab a referral code for $20 bonus credit.

    • Came here to suggest this also on reading the title. Best solution

    Aldi prepaid with monthly renewal on.
    It's on the telstra network.
    I pay $15 a month. data is capped but calls and sms are unlimited.
    It auto renews as long as it is ticked on the app.

  • Thanks all. Added the following to the list as well. If I come across any others will post here for others.

    SpinTel - $12.95 5GB per month and they make it obvious on their site 'Data Capped When your reach your limit'

    Came across Yomojo it has $12.90 6GB per mth or a cheaper plan of $9.90 1GB per mth.

    When i asked the chat bot i got this reply;

    For Mobile Plans: You won't be able to continue using the service when you reach your plan limit. You can still use your unlimited calls and texts though while waiting for your plan renewal. If you need more data or more calling minutes before your next plan renewal, you will need to add Excess Credit or a Data Bolt-on.

    You can also shape androids these days to warn when getting to a certain GB limit and cut data when a higher limit is hit.

    But Belong gets my vote too cause you can top up each others data
