Gigabyte 1TB M.2 NVMe Gen4 SSD (GP-ASM2NE6100TTTD) $149 (RRP $179) + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ Umart

170

Was labeled as being $70 off at this same price at Umart last week, presumably they've dropped the listed RRP in the meanwhile. Includes a heat sink, and should be suitable for PS5 use, though it's probably at the lower end of Gen4 speeds.

Not to be confused with the GP-AG70S1TB, which is the newer and faster model.

  • Is the heatsink removable and is it bad to remove it? Eg. if I want to put it in a laptop

    • The heatsink is removeable. I can't imagine it'd be worse than any other SSD without a heat sink, but though I suspect the real question there would be if your laptop supports Gen 4, and how bad it is for heat normally.

    • Removable, you have to remove the screws and detach the thermal pad from the ssd.
      Technically voids warranty though

      • Umm ok these have screws then I'm guessing the heatsink can't be used on other SSD's, well screwed on?

  • I've got it and I like it :)
