This set is not the ordinary ‘vanilla’ ice-cream truck that frequently goes on sale. This one is the chocolate coated set, which is more colourful and has the ability to splat (lego) ice cream. What makes this set even more interesting is the ‘ice crooks’ costumes of the mini figures. Good for people who are into costumes and police chase ;)

  Ok. This set is said to be for kids 5 and over. Now, why would I expose my 5+ age kids to the idea of hijacking an ATM machine no matter how much fun it seems under the influence of colourful bricks? Silently prepare them for the future?! This set is entirely made for adult and adult only.

    Maybe you haven’t seen this Lego set or this. These police chase sets have nothing to do with influencing kids to become crooks in the future. These sets or any other role play toys are just there to develop the imaginations of kids.

    Just like in kids cartoons, they show bad guys. What good would it do if all cartoons only show hugging, loving and sharing amongst friends? This ain’t Play School.

  I'm sure it's intended to be from the other perspective where the police are taking control of the situation and chasing / putting away the bad guys… but in terms of whether that's appropriate for the age in question, each to their own of course.

  ***However, the age recommendation on LEGO has typically been an indication of the difficulty level of the build…. Not an indication of appropriateness of the theme for the noted age.
