Not the lowest price ever on Steam, but the regular sale price that the game goes for, which is plenty alright for the game. If you want to check price history of games, go to https://steamdb.info/

I use http://isthereanydeal.com to compare pricings.

Great website as well, SteamDB, isthereanydeal and GG.deals are the best 3 IMO. GG.deals especially as it also takes into account third party key sellers, which can sometimes be exponentially cheaper than other key marketplaces.

        • +1

Didnt know about GG but having a quick look, it looks a rippa! Thanks

        • https://gg.deals is good but includes greymarket key sites so you can't be sure of the key origins, might be revoked or wrong region. Isthereanydeal only lists legitimate reseller websites. You can import your Steam wishlist into ITAD and have it email you if your desired games reach certain price points.

If you want to look at shady greymarket sellers I often use https://cdkeyprices.con and https://allkeyshop.com

Great game. I recommend this one and the original

    • +3

      Definitely worth playing both.

Yes, if you don't have this, or haven't played it (or its predecessor), then you've missed out on these gems.

Sorry to derail a little, but if you're a fan, don't forget to grab Portal Prelude (free fan-game if you own original - it's basically Portal 0), and also Portal Stories: Mel (harder puzzles)

Thanks to Marxus for the post!

    • +4

      Is this the prelude?

      Have you tried reloaded?

      Here’s Stories: Mel.

      • +1

Yes! That's prelude, it is good. It's the days leading up to the setup of GladOS!

Thank you so much for the reloaded link, I will definitely check that out asap!!!

Thanks, been a while since I played this and don't have it on steam.

  • If this (and the original for good measure) got a remastered treatment (basic high-res/framerate update) on Xbox I'd re-buy in a flash. (I know there's some version coming out sometime for Switch .. not sure if that was ever confirmed for any other system though)

seriously, if you never played this, do it

this game has superb graphics and story. it might as well have been released in 2019, it's so modern

  • +1

Thought it was a new release

    Portal 2 A

for a split second there. Got all excited in that moment.

  • I remember paying full price for this when the ARG completed and it was available on the store. No regrets. Loved it.

One day someone will make a game better than this.

    • +1

Yes, I had a dream I was playing Portal 3.

It was in the real world (no laboratories or confined spaces), and your gun was modified to shoot the portals, as well as all the gels, including the white gel.

It's a little hazy, but you shoot a portal at a surface, but it automatically shoots white gel beforehand so the portal can generate, but it was either limited use (has a cooldown)

Never on sale on console for some reason…

Somehow, somewhere, someone on this earth has not played Portal or Portal 2 and it keeps me up at night…

  • +1

This needs a PS5 remake.. or third installation. One of the best games ever and y'alls know I'm not exaggerating.

    • I wanted to play it on my TV so I ended up downloading GeForce Now for Android to my mibox and connected a DS4.

Thanks, bought a couple of the Portal / Portal 2 bundles for the kids. Only A$4.34

  • My fave game and I was going to buy for the kids at original price. Bargain!

  • Portal games are so unique and fun.

  • I'm making a note here

  • +3

Damn! Bought this 11 years ago for $50, I should have waited!

    • +1

Teach you a lesson for not HODLing :p

  • How does the Portal series compare to Half Life? Does Portal have a compelling story?

    • +1

      Yes. Yes it does.

    • Half-Life is more usual FPS game, while Portal is unique, utilising jumps and portals. Both are great.

    • Yeah get the bundle as above.
