15% off the travel insurance. I got a letter of cover for Covid as part of it. Saved me a bit for my next Europe travel, so it might help you as well. I think it is finishing today.

    Which one is better?
Similar price but need better value & easy claim process if something goes wrong.
    World2Cover or CoverMore

  • I was insured with Zoom Travel Insurance as COVID first broke and got a full payout when I gave them all the relevant info.
I'm going OS this October and have booked with them again as their premiums are still highly competitive, with or without discount code ;)
(no I don't work for them or collect commission etc etc etc …. just an Ozbarginer :)

    • Covermore refused to refund premium (annual, multi trip) or pay out when COVID first hit. I used to be a loyal customer but the way they acted in 2020 has left a bitter taste in my mouth.

      • That is weird. I had to cancel my trip 24 hours before my planned departure because of Covid restrictions and they refunded me in full (Mar 2020).

      • I got mine refunded as well in 2020. No questions asked.

    • How much is their cost for cover?

      • For Zoom Travel Insurance? Depends on destination, age, length trip, number of people travelling and optional extra cover (cruises, hiking, snow sports etc).
Their website will give you an on the spot quote.

May I ask why you are buying separate insurance when you can get for free via anz/Amex? Longer stay than what they offer?

Sometimes credit card travel insurance doesn't apply if you booked flights using points (for example)

    • First, there are a lot of exclusions and special terms and conditions on the CC insurances.
Second, I fly using points :-)

    • Anyone have experience on claiming the CC free travel inaurance?

    • Generally less coverage on CC cards, and also high cost of excess payment required from CC cards, per individual category claim.

    • Yes. I pay with Amex card and get free insurance. I never pay with points.

  • i was on hold 3 hours yesterday just had a few questions about a policy i hung up in the end i hope their claims department is a lot better.

    • I sent an email while traveling early last month and still haven't had a reply but lodged a Covid related claim when I got back, it was approved without any issues 10 business days later.
