      while I have not used this, i burnt through 3 auto clamping holders, the gears eventually strayed for some reason (one of them was a belkin model). Currently using a gravity and nonelectrical kind. Make sure research it well and dont waste money like me XD

      This looks identical to mine which I got from supercheap a couple of years ago and is still going strong. I bought it after I bought one for a fussy brother who then asked if I could get him another one. Now the whole family uses them

    The problem with some of these auto opening ones is it they open when the car turns on so if you leave your phone in there duck out and get back in it falls out when it opens.

    Is the sensor the only way to clamp the phone? Can you push the 2 flaps on the edges to tightly clamp the phone in?

      No you cant, but it grips well. Tested on bumpy dirt roads.
