Triban Rc 120 Cycle Touring Road Bike 28" (XS Size Only) $399 + Shipping / C&C @ Decathlon

150

Just came across Decathlon email and it stated 20% full price bike and noticed this one is on 50% off clearance item.
Specs aren't most people would want but paying a low end reliable mountain bike money $399 for a road bike experience could be for someone who uses it as a stepping stone for future upgrade given everything is crazily expensive ATM.

No Shimano components, it has microshift instead.

Low stock so could sold out pretty fast

  • Looks like SRAM gears.

    • The specs say it’s a Microshift groupset. Their shifters are okay. Never tried their derailleurs though.

    • Unfortunately no
      It's Microshift AKA Microshite

      Trash Gears
      Average Frame

Pricing is about right for what you're getting.
      Wouldn't say its a bargain.

      • Not sure when you tried microshift last but it was OK when I last gave it a go. It's not as smooth as pricier Shimano bits but better than Tourney. For the price and support from a big retailer with easy returns it's probably a fair price.

is this a bicycle for ants?

    • how dare you this is still too big for my gf

    • Still too big for me. It’s very difficult to find a road bike if you’re short

      • You will need to buy 650 wheel size with a 165 crank arm, short stem and narrower handle bar

Be careful with the toe clips - I know someone who fell over once when they forgot their foot was still clipped in… 😉

      Was his name Joe Biden?

      • I would love to see Trump on a bike.

Looks pretty good to me not that I know anything about the groupset. Extra marks for including weight in the specs. What do you expect for 400 bucks?
