  • Anyone know how long this deal is for?

I just bought the AKG K371 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/710207) but would consider sending them back for these since the microphone would be useful.
Expecting the AKGs to arrive today.

Hard to find reviews on the EPOS H6PRO related specifically to audio quality, I wonder how they would compare to the AKGs.

In terms of audio quality, from what I have gathered from reviews the tuning is better suited for gaming audio than music audio.

There is a short comparison of the H6Pro vs other well known Sennheiser gaming headsets (PC38X and GSP 500/600) which used the same drivers:

Basically H6Pro is better in design/style and comfort, but audio wise these are worse vs the others.
GSP series had great drivers and good audio tuning for gaming, but were too clampy, gamery-looking and bulky in design.
PC38X has neutral tuning for general audio listening, as well as good audio performance (positioning, sound stage) for a gaming headset. However the pure plastic build and non-removable mic may not be for everyone.

Thanks for sharing that great write-up, Mr Bacon.

Caboose isn’t wrong about the PC38X sounding better. But I wear my H6Pro’s (closed) way more often.

Open back is less than ideal in lots of situations.

Caboose’s rig sucks by the way. I don’t hear that ludicrous 3k energy. It IS bloated on the low end, but no more than something like the XM4, which the typical consumer loves.

Honestly, at this price, the H6Pro is excellent value. There easily the most comfortable headphones I own, and I have almost 40 pairs at this point.
