Quick question - Are the HDMI cables certified under the "Ultra High Speed HDMI® Cable Certification Program", i.e have a genuine "Ultra High Speed HDMI Certification Label" affixed to their packaging?

Info here for anyone interested: https://www.hdmi.org/spec21sub/ultrahighspeedcable

I'll say that an uncertified cable can of course still meet these requirements, and isn't necessarily a bad cable. Some vendors simply choose not to go for the certification due to the additional costs associated. But choosing a certified cable does give peace of mind that the build quality guarantees consistent performance up to the standard for the lifetime of the cable when properly cared for.

I would assume if they were certified they would add it in title to show off. But it doesn’t seem like it.

      • Agreed. I ask because I know that other Cable Creation HDMI cables definitely do carry a genuine certification, so the brand does undertake the process, just not sure about these ones specifically. Sometimes with massive ranges little details like that get missed in the product description.

Some examples from the same brand/store (with less % discount, which in itself could be the reason):

Certified cables generally cost more. Also, it is not really that safe to be honest because what's stopping a vendor putting a different batch of cables in the same packaging?

I bought AmazonBasic USB-IF certified USB-C to USB-C cables before. When checking through USB-C meter, the cable is subpar. So, ended up being a FOMO, toy cable. The main issues with the cable are (1) consistently charges at lower voltage and current when it works properly (2) occasionally fails to operate / support fast charging. Back to original cables for now because it is pointless carrying a USB-C meter when using that cable to check whether it is working properly.

Best to test with real devices, but most of us don't have 8K devices.

I've bought their cables before and have been very happy with them, used for 4k 120hz. Not sure if they were the certified ones or not, so unfortunately not that helpful, but was very happy with them

@RMBC: Their products are generally cost effective with simply packaging. Not ripping people off with crazy prices for latest tech cables / dongles. No obvious dumb design decisions you find in el cheapo cables or adapters (inc. ones from Daiso). Long term reliability is yet to be determined.

I bought the 3m hdmi. All the cables I've bought from them have been what they say and high build quality so i trust them.

        • Hello there,
          Thanks for your great support.
Your satisfaction and trust is our greatest motivation, we will do our best to provide consumers with better products.
          Thanks so much again.
          Have a nice day!

        • Cable arrived today. Says HDMI 2.1 on packaging. Works perfectly and good build quality. Recommended.

  • You need to say HDMI 2.1 in the description somewhere.

FYI Looks like promotion is for 1 item only. I added 2 to cart and the discount only applied to first item (tested the 2m HDMI)

    • +1

I added one of each size for the HDMI cable and can confirm that the total price came to 40% off - from $63.97 down to $38.37. I haven't tried with 2 of the same size though.

      • You are so clever.
I've tried it, it's exactly as you said.

    • Can the OP respond to this? The offer is only for one of the same cable, as this comment suggests. The discount won’t apply properly if you buy two or more of the same cable. Till then I’ll keep my neg until ratified.

      • Hi there,
        So sorry for your inconvenience.
Or you can try to place two separate orders with the same length hdmi cables.
        Hope it will help you.
        Good luck!

        • Maybe add this limitation to the post so it’s not misleading

(Came here to blow up at OP)

Okay, thanks for the reminder, I'll pay attention.

  • Clicked on the first link and it came up full price

Edit: oh I need to 'click the voucher'

    • tick checkbox for coupon/discount - gets applied at checkout

  • Who’s here using 8K and for what? Curious to know

    • Honestly I just needed some 1m HDMI cables for my work setup and figured future proofing them would be useful.

    • I use my TV as a standing desk monitor with it on a motorised adjustable hight desk. The TV is a 65 inch and i run it at 4k 120Hz So i need a 8k cable. 4k 120Hz = 8k 60hz in signal bandwidth.

  • Wonder if these will be cheaper on Prime day 🤔

You can pay more attention to CableCreation on Prime day!
      Good luck!

Guys, I bought 2 of CableCreation "8K 2.1 Certified HDMI Cables".
    https://www.amazon.com.au/CableCreation-Certified-Dynamic-Co…

But on receiving, I found that the packaging or the cable does not have QR code that can be scanned using HDMI Cable Certification app to check the certification of the cable. Their listing on Amazon falsely shows the QR code in images.
So, even their claimed "Certified" cables are also not certified.

I am returning my cables & getting refund through Amazon.
    Beware.
