Best Instant Chai Latte or Chai Tea

Hi guys,
Hope you're well,
As it's getting cold and I don't drink coffee - I was wondering if anyone can please recommend me a delicious instant chai latte or chai tea brand?

Thanks!

I always go for Woolworths brand. 10 sachets for $3.50 from memory but I use 1/2 sachet at a time for smaller cups or 1 sachet for a mug.

  • I find most Chai powers/sachets too sweet. I hope you find one you enjoy. Most people enjoy the chai pods that aldi sells (to go in the aldi coffee machines).

I have started slicing raw ginger and putting it in a cup with boiling it water and letting it sit for a while LOL!!

I can't do caffiene, so my options are limited, even decaf tea/coffee has too much caffiene in it for me.

If you're looking for powders, try -

Tiger/David Rio, Arkadia, Pickwick. I prefer Pickwicks.

  • There’s one at OW that is decent. But you have to use probably 3/4 of the recommended

  • If it doesn't have to be instant I'd recommend Prana Chai Original Blend. I think I saw an email that they are doing a deal on starter kit (a pot, sieve, travel cup, honey and chai): https://pranachai.com/products/prana-chai-travel-mug-starter…. If you'd like just the chai Inglewood was doing 50% off on Prana just recently.
EDIT: Inglewood deal is expired now: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/707486

  • I never understood Chai Tea. At Lentil as Anything they served Chai Tea. People around me gulped it down and loved it. For me it was so awful and I joked that they just recycled the dishwasher water. I guess different people like different things.

    • This used to be me. The spices were overwhelming and not pleasant. It burned and I couldn’t see how it was tolerable for others. Then I went to a few other restaurants that served it with meals and just over time got used to it, or my tastes changed, or both. Now I crave it often and pick it when out.

But I did it on my own terms, never forcing myself. And I would recommend the same to you - maybe revisit it every few years, but if the first sip is awful, don’t even bother with more.

  • Thanks so much for all the suggestion guys! I will look into them all :)

  • Arkadia Chai is really lovely and they also do a sugar free one!
