  • Exactly what i needed

    • -1

Not exactly what I needed, but will take this.

OP you have any ergo mouse ?

  • +1

    Really?
This ain't even covering postage costs

    • +7

Probs less about costs and more about clearing a stockroom + not seeing them go to waste/become e-waste. At least people can use em instead!

Also probably already written off as a business expensive

      • Proabbly can't write-off if you are going to sell - but presumably you would claim the loss on your tax (which would save you the company tax rate on the loss 25%?)

  • Wow, purchased. Thank you! How can you possibly ship this and make any profit at this price?

    • +1

      No profit here

      • Presumably Amazon covers some of the shipping cost?

  • -6

    Thanks mate, bought 10.

  • Purchased "no ragrets"

  • Cant add to cart

  • yep no longer working?

    • +1

    • Start by culling orders from people who ordered more than one.

      • +1

There was only a 1 per person limit.

        • I believe it was still possible to order multiple in seperate orders.

          • @tango1: I don't know how Amazon thing works in that regard, but they are all individual orders and they all look like they are going to different people.

          • -2

@tango1: Nah, I tried but it cancelled my other 9 orders.

    • Would you be able to let the people who didn’t get the preferred pro II know?

      • +2

Not possible we need to have the ordered shipped first thing in the morning. Best to cancel now before we can process, just so we don't mix it up.

Both are just basic USB keyboards and no special features.

Dispatch guys are going to hate me tomorrow when they get in.

        • I’ll probably keep it then cause I just need any keyboard so I can put my laptop on a stand. Not too fussed about getting the older version. Maybe I’ll get lucky cause I ordered pretty early before people started getting rejected

  • There was only an allocation of 70 units and somehow 168 sold

Maybe cancel the orders of people who ordered multiple units?

    • +5

There was only a 1 per person limit. I pretty sure this sold out in like 2 mins.

  • All gone…booooo haha
Working instead of being on ozbargain 😋

    • +5

We still have a massive balance of the pro 1 so we will post those once these orders have been processed in the morning. But this batch sold out in about 2 mins.

      • Give us the heads up so we can all stop working for this 😂

      • Great, sounds good. Would love to grab one as a backup! Thanks

    • +2

      Get your priorities straight mate.

  • +1

Dam… i stopped looking at OB for 5minutes! lol
Would have been a nice replacement for my work pc

  • Lol maybe OP should have charged twice as much.

  • At that price, could the keyboard be used as a building material?

    • +5

      Cheaper per sqm than ply.

  • Dammm missed out

  • Christ didn’t realise they sold for that much new haha. I got 3 keyboards and 3 mice delivered for like $40 5 years ago. Good devices

  • Missed this! And I actually needed a keyboard too! :(

    • Might have to wait for the next $4 delivered deal.

  • +1

any deals on serial mouse ?

    • +1

I haven't seen a serial mouse in at least 15 years.

  • Shipped earlier today and got confirmation that it is the Pro II version.

    • Cool. How did you get confirmation it was Pro II — did you ask after it shipped?

      • +1

Yep. Just contacted them via Amazon and they confirmed back in less than an hour.

  • Where's the second post that was mentioned?

  • +1

Got mine today. Looks like I got the version 1
    Thanks op!

  • Received my order today. Received version 1 even though I ordered right when it was posted (8th to upvote)

    • Nobody has posted yet that they recieved a pro 2.

    • me too. received v1.

    • Same here. Will be getting a refund.

  • I ordered two units by mistake. I received the 1 and the 2. The difference in build quality is massive.

The 1 feels cheap and plasticky, lots of rattle, lots of key wobble. It sounds very hollow. The only think it has over the 2 is the pen holder and the add-on palm rest.

The 2 is surprisingly good and I say this as someone who has built their own mechanical keyboard. It feels much more solid. It is much quieter and there is much less key wobble. It doesn't really sound hollow too. The space bar is rattly but this is to be expected.

I managed to make the space bar of the 1 less noisy by using dielectric grease on the stabiliser wire. A keycap puller can be used to remove the keys but not on the keys with stabilizers due to the way the stabilisers work. I managed to crack the spacebar trying to remove it at the ends. To remove the keys with stabilizers pull them up from the centre. If this sounds like something you want to do check out this video.

If anyone reading this is trying to decide between buying the 1 or the 2 I would say get the 2 regardless of price. It's a much better keyboard.

    • The right thing was to cancel the orders they couldnt fullfil and post a new deal for the 1st version. But i feel OP took advantage to clear the stock they had.
Anyhow im returning mine cause it does feel cheap, even for $4. I see these on the footpaths all the time next to old computers on council clean up day.

      • I agree with your first sentence. I don't know much about Amazon backend but I don't think OP tried to cheat anyone. Both boards would have sold out for $4. These boards tend to get thrown out because the rubber loses its responsiveness and gets mushy or gunk gets on top of the PCB and causes the keys to stop working.
