I have the cb5001-57e and very happy.
Can use an app on my phone to mimic the radio sync and the solar charge has always been full!
Only losses a few seconds a month.

ooh it’s WR200, has the little screw downs on the stopwatch buttons.

    • I've never understood the appeal, or need, for a 200m WR chrono.

This is a lot of watch for the money though, spec wise. For those interested, there are pretty simple ways to make the radio sync work here in AUS, as well.

over engineer rather than under engineer. i also vaguely remember reading something about how WR ratings are a bit misleading, you shouldn't take a WR 200m watch scuba diving unless it's actually a proper divers watch. even then there are caveats (quick google said something about not at depths where helium gas is needed)

        https://www.spotthewatch.com/water-resistant-watches-guide/

"For a watch with a 50-meter depth rating, you can fully submerge the watch in water for a short amount of time, but not swim with it. This is because swimming ups the water pressure. A 100m sports watch usually qualifies for a quick swim in shallow waters, and any number higher than that (200, 250, etc.) is simply an indication of its water pressure tolerance, and not of how deep down in the water you can go."

        • Yeah that is absolutely correct. I more so meant that the functionality of a chrono is a weird combo for a dive-rated WR level. The screw down pushers are effectively there so that you don't "bump" the pushers while in the water. The functionality of the complication is entirely useless in wet environments.

Like you said, over-engineer and why not, but I have never understood why you'd want to take a chrono anywhere other than a splash.

          • @henno: Maybe they just want one watch that they can take anywhere rather than different watches for different situations

A great “bang for buck” price. I’m normally a fan of green face dials and have a few, but on this model I think the blue suits the style of the watch better.

  • If Citizen ever released a sub 40mm GPS watch I'd be all over it.

  • How can you have a tachymeter that's also a seconds hand? This is the sort of BS that Invicta gets up to.
