  • There’s a free oodie to win with Nutella! I wouldn’t spend $10 for this to be honest! https://theoodie.com/pages/win-a-free-nutella-oodie?g_acctid…

    • +3

Theres a chance to win one of 500 oodies, sure.

    • +3

Looks like the promo has finished.

  • +3

    Light saber not included?

  • +4

    Wtf is an oodie.

One of the most unflattering bogan things I have seen in a long time

    • +23

You must be fun at parties.

    • Isn't this an American hipster invention? That's what I thought it was when I first saw it a few years back.

      • +2

The company is run out of suburban Adelaide. It was started by a local teenager.

        • +1

Good for the teenager then I guess.

  • +17

Looks like garbage with a large marketing budget

  • +10

    overrated

    • -1

      OverInflated?

      • Not at discount. There's imitations charging for more than this price.

  • +3

How do these compare with the Aldi ones that they currently have on sale?

  • +1

Good enough to force Oodie to go on sale

  • +4

Aren't they always on sale? I've been getting 'sale' ads from them for the past year. Lol

  • +2

Also what's with not offering the same selections in the paid and free oodie? Seems a bit dodge

    • +4

You can just double cart the same style and apply the code manually, worked for the baby Yoda edition

  • +21

Seems to be a lot of hate here for the Oodie… sure they aren't exactly a fashion statement, but I love mine. My house is extremely cold in winter, but these things are amazingly warm, so I can usually keep the heater off now. I just wish they had oodie socks too, to complete my sink into fashion induced celibacy.

    • +12

People who hate oodies are those who have never owned one.

    • +2

hah the amazon one comes with free socks but if anything they are TOO warm. My feet get way too sweaty in them.

    • +1

I use mine to teach the kids about static electricity. Still undisputed king zapper

    • +1

I bought them during the last sale. Haven't had to turn on the heater this winter either. It was quite surprising how warm and comfortable they keep you. Too much marketing though. I can't seem to get rid of their ads and it's getting annoying

    • +2

Got some for my kids at the last sale, they love them. Can't get them to take them off, though I will only let them wear them in public when we go to Rockingham.

      Would recommend.

    • +1

If you need socks to match check out The Foozie

    • Yep, they are just so incredibly warm. Can't fault them at all, had one for everyone in our house for the last few years and all satisfied to the max.

  • +1

Don't forget you can stack this with Afterpay referrals with $30 off for both referrer/referee

  • Buy with discounted gift card from ShopBack.

Costco has something similar, for cheaper, too.

    • Have the Costco one, high quality imo. Wouldn't waste money on oodie

    • Do you need Costco membership to buy online?

    • Too bad it's OOS

  • +3

Everyone keeps shilling the oodie to me but I'm not convinced, seems like a pain to piss and shit in, and also washing & drying

    • +13

I poop in the toilet, not my oodie. But if that's what you like to do….

    • +2

Washing and drying is a pain in the butt.

Take it off before going to the toilet. No difference if you're sporting a beer belly (like me) that you cannot see your junk to otherwise roll up the garment and hope that you aimed into the bowl

    • piss and shit in

this is one strength the off-brand ones have - they're nearly all a decent length shorter.

    • +4

You need the Poodie. Same as the Oodie, just with a flap at the back.

  • I placed an order last night. Unsure whether it's the right decision to purchase. Plus side - will potentially save on electricity. Negative side - when not in use, it will take up too much storage space, washing and drying will be a pain

  • +2

Oodie is way overprice and overrated, with that price they are not even made in Australia. Go for aldi, cotton on etc much cheaper

    • +1

      even made in Australia

mate do you want a $500 oodie coz that's how you get a $500 oodie.

  • -1

God these things are so ugly, I don't understand how anyone wants this junk.

    • +5

I don't dress to impress on my lounge

      • hAvE sOmE sElF rEsPeCt!!

        • My nephew said if he ever come to visit and we were wearing these he’d put us in a home.

  • +4

The Costco ones are The Comfy brand. The original ones on Shark tank. Bought for the kids. Very warm. Costco only have the junior ones in stock. Adult version are hard to find. I have one myself. We also have cotton ones adults and kids. The Comfy ones are warmer/cut is more oversized and feels more high quality in terms of the Sherpa lining. The Oodie ones seems way too overpriced. Just my two cents.

    • How much?

      • +1

Top of my head $32 for the junior/kids size. They have adult sizes on the Costco website but no stock for about the same price.

  • +1

look they look dumb and the design is uninspiring but there is no denying that they are super comfy during winter. I wont pay more than $60 for it tho

    • With this current Buy One Free One offer, 1 single Oodie only costs $54.50

  • +3

Wow a lot of people have some very strong views on Oodies
