Carrying the 65" over from this deal. $600-$1000 cheaper than the equivalent LG C1/C2 65" and every bit as good for most people.

Here you have the:

Both have Ambilight and Hue integration.
805 has AI image processing which fixes slight colour and motion issues with the 804. Also has a new leather-backed backlit remote and speaker system (larger mid-range drivers + dedicated tweeter), and might be a bit brighter.
I'd bank on the 805 getting Android 10.

  • C2 uses a significantly upgraded panel, the equivalent to the 2020 model would be the CX, with a nod to the C1 being a very minor improvement.

    • Yep the evo panel. This being so much cheaper it doesn't really matter. It's still the same discount off on-sale C1 65".

      Not for gamers unfortunately

      • I was gonna say, I need something for my PS5 too!

  • It looks like these are no longer available

    • You're right, thanks for letting me know.

      • I wasn't sure the extra $1000 was worth it for OLED compared to Bravia 65" but somehow the OOS is conforting me. Let see..

Here is a comparison of two nearly equivalent models for the Sony X75K vs these Philips OLEDs. While it's Sony's new 2022 model, it's the cheapest in their 4K range and always has the worst panels - terrible for movies.

I'm upgrading from the 2017 X80E (one level up the range), so huge difference for me. OLED is a big jump and is so worth it to get something quality and long lasting, imo.

          • @Techie4066: Thank you
I'm excited about the motion interpolation as well🙏. Now the burn in risk is worrying. Better check terms of warranty and tricks to reduce the risk (especially when pausing Netflix and the like.

@Enelass: I'll pretty much only be using it for Netflix and Switch gaming so it's not a concern at all. Burn-in now isn't a thing unless you abuse the TV, in fact check out rting's own long term test.
There's often settings to automatically shift the image slightly too.
