Best SDHC Card for GoPro HD Hero 2

Hi guys,

So I've read mixed reviews about which branded SDHC card is best for the GoPro HD Hero 2. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, I've read that class 6 is best as class 10 can mess around, though I don't know what specifically. So can anyone also clarify that?

And lastly, which is the best/cheapest place to buy it!?

  • I bought a Sony SD card for our camera that does 1080p video. It is a class 4 and is perfectly fast enough, the handbook recommends class4.
So, saying that, I don't believe you need a class 10 just a class 4 or 6. And any decent brand. You paid a fair price for the go pro so I wouldn't waste time hunting for the best deal to save $5 or 10. Go to a camera store and get one.
I got ours from the Sony store at the time it was the cheapest "brand" SD card I could find in a store.
No idea of real speeds, just know it works perfectly - and comes with backup/recovery software for the card.

  • i had a cheap class 10 and it would keep stopping recordings and never go for the full battery life. i bought a kingston one and it seems ok. keep in mind the max battery life recording 1080p 30fps is actually only about 5 hours. i thought i heard it could do 8, so i was excited, but this is not the case.
