  • Looks like it expires tonight at midnight

    • Ah thanks, I must have missed that notification. Does it say this on the product page?

These are great fun. I have 2xK1 and a K2. We've taken them for a number of paddles on the Swan and Warren rivers and Lakes Leschenaultia. I paid much more than this with this deal l and am happy. Fantastic price.

    • How handy are these transport-wise? You just deflate them and put them in your trunk?
And how prone are they to puncture?

      • +2

Yep just deflate and put it in the boot. Very easy. That and price were the major appeal. They're heavy though; we use a beach trolley to move them around. We haven't had a puncture yet but I imagine any bike tube repair patch would work well.

        • Hey just bougth one, thanks for the info!
Im in WA too, any other places you reckon I could go other than the 3 you have mentioned?
Also, where would you suggest to start when kayaking in the Swan?

Getting excited for next spring-summer! :)

@liongalahad: Anywhere on the Swan is pretty good this time of year. We like it around Woodbridge, paddling upstream past the vineyards. It's better now than in summer. Congrats on the purchase, as long as you make an effort to use it you won't regret it I reckon.

I have one and taken it through some light rapids over rocks and into branches. It survived well and i haven't had any punctures, the material is quite strong the seams are durable. As mentioned there is a bit off weight to it, but i can carry it myself no problem. I use my electric pump to inflate and deflate as opposed to the provided pump, but that works fine as well as i have tried it

        • thanks guys
Never had a kayak but Im tempted now. Just for some quiet river paddles, defintiely no rapids

Last questions, can you use this also alone? Or you must be in 2 people all the time?

          • +1

@liongalahad: Alone is fine, the seats are comfortable and removeable if you just want one seat in there

I would rather stay inside and watch cartoons

  • Anybody know where to buy spare/replacement skegs for the K2?

I've seen them overseas for about $40 delivered. Amazon ones that can be glued on (so not the original).

    Thanks

Is it foolish to buy this for fishing? Do I need a proper “fishing kayak”?

    • +1
      1. No.
      2. Only you know if YOU need a proper "fishing kayak".
      • Yeah, I probably do. I’d probably lose my rod.

  • Is this suitable for just mucking around at the beach?

    • Yes, my kids love it.

      • Cheers bought yesterday, and arrived today!

  • any recommendation for portable or electric pump for this? thanks

    Bought one thanks OP

Bought one too. Couldn't bring myself to pay the Catch/BCF price earlier in the year, but this is a great find. Thanks OP.

  • Bought two from BCF during last year black friday. One had a faulty valve. Replaced and both have since been wonderful. They fill up with the hand pump really fast and kids love them. Mostly do shallow creeks so have bottomed out on countless rocks and logs with no leaks.
