    Try finder.com.au

  • I have my kid on $5 a month with Dodo (unlimited talk/text), but I think that plan is not offered to new signups anymore?

Your mum doesn't need data? She doesn't have friends on Facebook or TikTok or whatever?

Clearly she is of a generation that doesn't

    • Nice advice.

Wish it had call diversion (I need it). But that's a good option.

    • Is this still a thing? Signed my Mum up September last year and am now looking to get 2 kids the same plan, but can't find it on the website or the app.
Will chat with Amaysim on Monday.

      • I did find it eventually, comes up as an option when changing plan.

I've got my mum signed up to Aldi PAYG mobile. It's not a plan but you can create an auto recharge so the service stays active.

The initial SIM contains $5 credit. The minimum top-up is $15. Top-ups have a 365 day expiry.

    See https://www.aldimobile.com.au/collections/payg

    • Whenever you do a top-up with Aldi PAYG, does the 365-day restart again on that day?

        Yes

        • Thanks, kerfuffle. I have the same question for Amaysim PAYG, if you or anyone else happen to know.

@bluesky: I can’t answer that question, but logic would say yes as well if you buy a 365-day recharge

  • Amaysim Talk & Text only. $60/year. Only available for transferring plan.

  • AL & DI are cheap.

We pay $10 a year with Amaysim, just use it to receive calls.

    • you can save $5 by using ALDI mobile starter kit (for receiving CALLS AND TEXTS)

      • 😲

        • Groupon amaysim regularly do a 6 renewal for like $10 every 6 months or so. So that would be the next port in and out option. (This would last 6*28 days +180 days validity aka 348 days not much far away from year )

Although I really personally dont recommend amaysim because of their bad customer support
