I use the electronic opening + wireless charger, it work good, I also use the wireless charger with manual clamp before I give it to my mom also work ok, I assume the manual one will last forever. While the fancy auto opening will broke in few years.
Any manual clamp phone holder will work better than gravity one.
How long has yours hold out sor far? I went through 3 electronic opening ones in 3 months or so, the gears inside always end up breaking, even though all i did was putting my phone in it and take it one twice a day. Bought a manual clip which didnt break of course, but gravity is so much faster, and I enjoy seeing the map in vertical version, so gravity for me.
@HG Dendrobium: Been almost a year, so far so good, my manual one already 5 years still kicking, my mom just complain some foam part start falling off, I just replace it with hot glue.

Gravity Car Phone Holder sound good idea but in practice it horrible idea. Your phone will fly if you hit any speed bump, not to mention you stuck in one orientation.
