Bit of a niche market here, being the DTX platform (20.3x17.0cm for DTX vs 17.0x17.0cm for ITX), but could be an overclockers dream for small form factor if your case has a little wiggle room. Debatable whether this is a great idea time-wise, given the imminent release of AM5 and phasing out of DDR4, but could be good for someone now.

Seems to be the cheapest price ever, but still ~$50 pricier than standard X570 ITX options. $40 Cheaper than the nearest price elsewhere and significantly cheaper than historical prices.

Shipped by Computer Alliance, and same price on their website (with free shipping). Should get 7% Cash Rewards through Amazon, though this may be capped.

It's a cool board, and i love the form factor. I really wish they'd just gone and put a pcie 1x there instead of the dumb integrated audio chip. Integrated audio will never be as good as external audio solutions. You can never properly isolate it from interference.

Of course, external solutions are superior in quality (if they are needed to power high impedance headphones). But I don't know what you're talking about here, it's not 2005 anymore. Motherboard DAC/AMP chips these days are fairly solid, especially ones on high-end boards. I can run my Audio Technica AD900X, and Sennheiser HD660S as cleanly (with no distortion or interference) from my X570 Hero motherboard, or my Fiio BTR5 (wireless), or Mk.2 wired. I can also run my Edifier S360DB speakers using an SPDIF cable without any issues too from the motherboard.

Agree to disagree. Cheap boards still have garbage audio chips. Running devices 'without issue' is one thing, but crosstalk from electrical equipment is certainly a real problem. Usually to do with poor grounding.

  • they managed to achieve what a mini-itx board achieves while being much larger, just buy the b550i rog

  • It's a great board, but given how IO on an ITX board is mostly limited by physical space, not chipset specs, you are better off getting an older B450 board for half the price.
I have a 5900x running brilliantly with a cheap air cooler on an MSI B450I gaming plus ITX board I bought for less than $200.

    E.g. Gigabyte B450 I AORUS PRO WiFi $189 from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com.au/Gigabyte-B450-Bluetooth-Mini-ITX-8…

Edit 2: this deal may be better - Gigabyte X570I for $267 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/712260)
