  • Reckon we’ll see this sub $700 anytime soon?

    • +2

If I recall correctly, these are most likely end of line stock/variant which are being cleared out for the new simplified V10 (2022) model.

As per Dyson Employee Forum thread

      • I think this is the new model.

        • +3

New V10 Model will have the updated Motorbar Cleaner Head, whereas this one still has the old Direct Drive Cleaner Head.

Product Description Page was updated to include the Motorbar head now.

          • +2

@RichardL: correct and this one comes with fluffy head so much better for hard floors then the new version that doesnt come with it. Highly recommend you get the absolute version if you have any hard floors.

            • +2

@Stuntdriver: 2022 version does come with the fluffy head. Only difference is the 2022 model comes with the motorbar which has the anti-tangle feature. If you use ShopBack on the Dyson website the cost of this and the 2022 model come to be the same.

              • @Bjk94: the bin is also smaller, the new v10 has the small bin

                • @viper8548: 0.76L for the V10 absolute+ and 0.77L for the new 2022 V10… Hardly a difference, but it seems the new one technically has the larger bin.

                  • @ATangk: Oh my bad, I their new photos had the one with the smaller bin.

        Thanks Richard. Appreciate the clarification!

  • Purchased Dyson V10 animal for 3 years ago at lower price, can’t believe this is more expensive than 3 years ago even this absolute come with few more tools. They should at least add lock on mode, without lock on mode, extension hose is too hard to use.
Got myself Dreame V12 and gave Dyson V10 to my parents around 9 months ago, I didn’t expect much as Dreame V12 was only around $450. But I am glad Dreame V12 didn’t disappoint me, especially the lock on mode with flexible hose.

    • Dyson has a lock on mode. It's called a Velcro strip.

        Says the Wizard…..
        LOL…

    • My Dreame V9 is really showing its age after 3 years. I bought because it was like $200 and they sold spare batteries unlike the Dyson V6 I was using at the time.

The battery is almost at the end of its life, and I went to buy one, but they no longer sell the battery. Really annoyed.

It's also not a sealed unit which I find critical, otherwise you're just blowing dust everywhere.

      • +1

Two years ago my V6’s battery went dead (after three plus years of daily usage). I could not find replacement battery on Dyson’s website. However, when I called their customer support, they could quickly arrange one at a cost.
I hope this would be useful for someone in similar situation.

Interestingly, Dyson website are selling the V10 Absolute+ WITH the updated Motorbar Cleaner Head for $799. Shopback are offering 6% so comes down even further.
If only they were selling this version on ebay, I would jump on it with all my discounted eBay gift cards I've been hoarding.

    • Have a look again, no it's not, you will on the dyson website under included tools they are named different and are advertised different in the features on the page. The V10 Absolute+ for $799 does not say anything about the motorhead removing/untangling hair whether the V10 does.

Dyson are the apple of vacuum cleaners but without the Apple quality and without the Apple support.

    • +3

Correct on the latter, Dyson support is actually very good in contrast to Apple. They'll even sell you spares like new batteries.

      • +1

They do sell all parts for their cordless vacuum, and the disassemble is quite easy, therefore very repairable.

      • Apple suck for many many reasons but their support is absoloute AAA tier.

        • What are your reasons for them sucking?

          • +1

@JutakuHome: They're an obstinate company who do things "their way, or the highway" I prefer Android (and that has its own issues)

Pulling headphone sockets, sticking to lightning cables, myki fights with Vic dept of transport, etc.

Well built hardware and well supported tho.

          • @JutakuHome: If you need a list you're a fanboy

        • They charge a premium for underpowered hardware so there's room for good support.

      • They wouldn't fix my vac that died just outside warranty. I've seen plenty of reports of apple fixing stuff outside warranty

  • I got this one from last deal. Previously Had V6 absolute and definitely feel the difference. If you are upgrading from v6, dont go for v8 but v10!
    Nice price Op.

    • Mind sharing what's make this worth it over the v6? I have the v6 which is still going strong after a battery replacement and cannot justify an upgrade probably until the motor broke or something.

  • +1

    Back in stock

  • Thanks OP, bought one. Will be upgrading from the dreame V9.

Edit: I think this listing does not coming with the Motorbar head. Better to buy direct from website.

    • The eBay product description has been updated to include the Motorbar head.

      • +1

Yes I’m aware it shows in the “in the box” but when you scroll down to “product features” it shows the Direct drive cleaner head. If that makes sense. So which one is it? Lol

        • I'm assuming they also forgot to change the 'Product features' section.

Both "In the box" and "Product Features" was still showing Direct drive cleaner head yesterday.

  • +3

I have messaged Dyson via ebay to clarify the model, they confirmed that it is the 2022 model with new Motorbar head and NOT Direct Drive. They will be updating the listing description shortly.

It is exactly the same as the one listed on the Dyson website here:
    https://www.dyson.com.au/dyson-cyclone-v10-absolute-plus-202…

There is still something that confuses me however, I think that the "Motorbar" head on the Dyson V10 Cyclone Absolute+ (hair detangling is not mentioned as a feature) is actually different to the "Motobar Cleaning" head on the Dyson Cyclone V10 (hair detangling is mentioned as a feature)

  • Are you meant to remove the black circle sticker behind the Dyson vacuum?

  • Guys can I get the v8 2022 model for a bargain anywhere now?

  • Guys bought the V10 absolute+ from eBay $749. I’ve got a roborock S7 as well. I got I don’t have to use the corded Miele again.

  • Hey guys bought this today instead of V8 from eBay store $749.
I hope this is good and I can get rid of my Miele corded vacuum. I also have Roborock S7. I just hated the corded device. Hope V10 has a good suction power for all carpet rooms and lounge.
