    berry flavour's yucky.

    • +1

      that's probably from the Aspartame

    • This is also true with Gaviscon

  • Anyone know how the taste of these compares to Redoxon ?

    • two different products. Berocca seems to be heavy on Vitamin B(with C, calcium, zinc and magnecium), where as Redoxon is vitamin C, D and zinc.

      • True but purely in terms of taste i mean.

I haven't tried the Berocca ones before

        • Just add to redbull taste awesome

        • I prefer Redoxon to Berocca. Been using Berocca since I cannot find good price for Redoxon.

  • +1

Yeah never have I experienced a product whereby my enjoyment was so massively influenced by flavour.
    Orange = great
    Berry/Original = DISGOSTANG

    • +1

      Isn’t the orange original?

I believe Berocca contains an artificial sweetener aspartame, would probably want to avoid daily consumption, they make you believe otherwise.

What is bad about aspartame ?

      Genuine question!

When the title is biased, the article itself is probably more dangerous than the product.

I thoroughly read this paper on aspartame https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8227014/ & then proceeded to order some berocca.

As far as I'm aware aspartame is one of the most studied food additives, and there are been absolutely no conclusive evidence of issues.

          • @tetra: I am not sure about the "most studied food additive", however, you are right in saying that there hasn't been 100% conclusive evidence. Although, from the studies that are out there, they seem to suggest similar short-term and long-term health concerns, even the study pointed out by @mlakmlak. There are lots of products that contain aspartame ranging from chewing gum, yogurt, protein bars and soda, which could mean that on a no or low sugar diets we could be exceeding the "safe" levels of aspartame consumption, if such measure does exist.

            • +1

@expert: I mean, you could just google it to see if it's true or not?

Hell, here's wiki that has references:
              https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspartame

Aspartame is one of the most rigorously tested food ingredients.[5] Reviews by over 100 governmental regulatory bodies found the ingredient safe for consumption at current levels.[6][7][4][8][9]

              and:

              https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17828671/

Acute, subacute and chronic toxicity studies with aspartame, and its decomposition products, conducted in mice, rats, hamsters and dogs have consistently found no adverse effect of aspartame with doses up to at least 4000 mg/kg bw/day.

Bearing in mind it's like 200 times sweeter than sugar, so little is used per portion.

              From that same study:

Critical review of all carcinogenicity studies conducted on aspartame found no credible evidence that aspartame is carcinogenic. The data from the extensive investigations into the possibility of neurotoxic effects of aspartame, in general, do not support the hypothesis that aspartame in the human diet will affect nervous system function, learning or behavior.

blah blah blah, stop believing random myths and old wives tales. At least do some basic googling and see if there's anything conclusive or not.

With health concerns - it's like red meat being carcinogenic, there is an association but not necessarily causation. And the associated risk is low in of itself.

So its like, if you believe aspartame is bad just because you've heard it's bad, are you gonna avoid red meat as well?

Because (high consumption of) sugar is definitely not good for you and has proven evidence of that - weight, teeth, insulin levels, energy / mood issues.

@tetra: yeah, I totally believe Wikipedia and a government health site.

                • @aldroid: Nice display of your intelligence level with that comment. lmao.

                  • -3

@tetra: I hate to tell you; Google doesn't present the facts; the Government doesn't care about your health; and when Donald Rumsfeld is involved beware.

                    • -1

@aldroid: Yes, yes. We all know the NWO is mind-controlling the sheeple via artificial sweeteners. The word artificial should have been a dead giveaway - it's been manufactured for a reason!

                      • -1

                        @tetra: excellent, now you understand.

    • Also curious about aspartame

  • Damn, bought some last week, thanks Hamza.

  • damn, got 5 on Prime day…

  • I feel like I'm the only person who prefers berry over orange

    • Product sales statistics suggest otherwise

      • At least on Ozbargain then, hah
I had the berry when I was younger and don't like orange juice (love oranges though) so those could be factors

    • +1

I have always avoided berry due to comments on here, but I was inspired by your comment and bought it this time through this deal. Arrived this morning and I'm with you, it's better than orange!

      • I'm glad it worked out! I would've felt pretty guilty if you'd ended up hating it haha.

  • How does it compare to Aldi's?

  • Never tried sub & save, is there a minimum period you are obliged to purchase for, or just cancel after first time?

    • +2

yep can cancel straight after ordering

      • +1

Cheers, it says anything not at the shipping stage will also be cancelled - ie this order - so I'll wait until it's en route (arrives tomorrow) then boot it.

  • Just bought the berry 75 pack yesterday at $22.50… 🙃 Hoping the taste isn't too bad after ready the comments

    • +1

if you can be bothered, you can talk to them via live chat and ask for a refund of the difference. They will probably give you a $5 coupon. GL

  • I'm sure I've had berry before and didn't mind them, I've been buying the Coles brand one for $4.50/15pk which doesn't have as much Vitamin B.

  • These things are very low on even manufactured "vitamins" case in point B1 is "Vitamin B1 (Thiamine hydrochloride as monophosphothiamine dihydrate) 15 mg" you actually need 100mg to do anything

    • +1

But it shouldn't be your only source. it's a supplement. To go on top of your diet.

  • Just expensive pee

  • +1

    Available again.

  • Are you guys taking these daily as a supplement?

I only ever take them when Ive got a cold or hangover something like that..
