Suunto 7 is an Apple Watch and Garmin Sports Watch competitor. It is not perfect due to only 1 to 2 day battery life but if you are looking at getting a Sports Watch that has Smart Watch features or vice versa, this is the one to consider.

It is large on the wrist but is not bulky (70grams).

Not the best colour. However, I spoke to in-store staff and they mentioned that Black/Lime is available on their system. I purchased that with in-store transfer and might be worhwhile discussing if you are keen.

The watch was initially $799 about two years ago so this is a significant mark down. However, I have read that new Google WearOS Software Update may not come and this might be the reason for this clearance.

    I know nothing about these smart watches. What is the significance of this? Do they become unusable without the new updates?

      There are a lot of bad reviews about wear os2. But it is totally usable. Wear Os 3 comes with better performance and more features.

      Not the instinct solar?! The vivomove is and the Garmin instinct without solar. I am not interested in the non solar version. I’m an emergency worker and sometimes days without any power. I had the chance to buy the normal instinct for just $199 but I refused (jb perks).

    Isn't that basically what the Apple Watch achieves? OP's post says the Suunto is a direct competitor.

    Though I could be wrong about that last time I looked at the Apple Watch website was years ago at the Series 3.
    And last time I checked to get 2~2.5 days out of Apple watch you also have to dig through the settings and turn most of the features off.

  Have had this watch for a couple of years.

  About 15-20hrs GPS tracking life and two and a half days of normal usage.

  Stopped receiving updates last September or so, after Google announced the shafting by not receiving WearOS 3.

  Shame because Suunto busted their balls to add so many features to this watch that Google couldn't.

  Overall a decent watch with a great screen and great fitness chops.

  none available in store (Liverpool and Macarthur Square)
  had to pay for delivery instead…
  signed up for jb hi-fi perk and got 10 off the order
  can't go wrong with 145 delivered
  hopefully the battery can last a day at least
