Dreame Removable Batteries

Bought a G10 and the battery did the thing that everyone complains about (i.e. it died).

Looking online batteries are extremely expensive ($150 for a replacement).

Has anyone found any cheaper alternatives?

Might go Dyson next time as I'm really not saving myself any money by going Dreame.

We have a dreame v9 with a battery that cuts out every 3-7 seconds. Currently looking for a replacement stick that has an interchangeable (and purchasable) battery system.

    • One of my mates has the T20 Pro, they love it - comes with two batteries and there's been some great Costco deals recently.

Problem with the other Dreames is even though the battery is hotswappable, $150 for a battery on a $260 stick is brutal.

I also bought the T20 Pro from Costco just about a year ago from the same deal.

If you run the unit in turbo mode frequently, then the battery barely lasts 10 mins, and so the second battery does come in handy.

    • Same here… mine is 3 years old. It started cutting out every few seconds and now the whole battery seems to be dead.

The dyson ones are a bit cheaper, but not by much. They generally last for 2 years. Plus you can get parts for the dyson pretty easily and repair guides.

How long did your battery on the Dreame last?

    • About 2 months before there's issues - tried getting warranty but I'm being sent running around in circles.

Oh wow that is pretty bad. Yeah get the Dyson then, they cost more, but dyson will fix/repair/replace anything in the first 2 years without question.

My first Dyson battery died around 20 months old, they replaced it for free as it was under 2 years. Next time it fails, it looks to be about $120 to replace. While not cheap to the ebay ones, they seem to last pretty well, the stick vac gets used a couple of times a day.

  • I took apart the battery from my Dreame V11. I can see a bank of 18650 batteries but couldn't figure out a way to get at them to replace.

    • Yeah i got to the desoldering part and stopped

  • Was wondering if anyone here knew if the Dreame T20 batteries fit the Xiaomi G10? The only place that g10 batteries are available anymore is via aliexpress and none of the stores have a lot of orders/reviews so trying to see if I can get the T20 battery locally instead.

  • also interested in a cheaper battery for the T20.
Also does anyone know if Costco getting the T20 pro again?
