The previous deal, in which I purchased a laptop has now expired, but this deal is arguably better as it includes the faster CPU/iGPU, stone blue colour unit and a MUCH better cashback.

If your cashback tracks, it's about $1600 for a 2-in-1 convertible machine with the latest Ryzen chipset, the fastest integrated GPU ever made, a long battery life, a 90Hz HDR500 OLED screen, a 3-year onsite warranty with a replacement battery, and $145 of Lenovo dollars to spend on accessories. Let's go!

Previous Deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/711525

If you want to find it from the Lenovo homepage, search for Yoga 7 Gen 7

Review unit (translated from Japanese): https://thehikaku-net.translate.goog/pc/lenovo/22Yoga-770.ht…

Regarding Cashback - Cashrewards is currently showing a MASSIVE 14% back: https://www.cashrewards.com.au/lenovo

The laptop is $1979 with coupon JULOVE22 added automatically. There is now a stackable coupon "SAVE" if your order is over $2,000.

Update 27/722: Lenovo MyRewards is offering $100 instant rewards on purchases. Just sign up with a new email address during checkout.

Step 1: Click $100 Giveaway then Join Now with your email address to get the MyRewards instant $100 promo link: https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/pc/ and confirm your address. Stay logged in.
Step 2: Cashrewards - disable adblocker - Step 3: Build your cart - Step 4: Add the SAVE coupon - Step 5: Checkout

$1779 - Yoga 7 Gen 7 with 6800U / 680M iGPU in Stone Blue including delivery
$24 - Sealed Battery
$143 - Premium 3-year warranty

Sub-total $3132.10
Cart Threshold Savings -$200
Instant Savings -$602.95
eCoupon Savings: -$383.15
Rewards Applied -$102

Total (inc. GST) $1844

Cashrewards = $249.06

Then you get $145 in MyLenovo Rewards dollars, to spend in the future.

I recommend purchasing the onsite 3-year warranty upgrade (2 extra years) for $143. Then also the 3-year sealed battery replacement for $24.

If you want to see the Ryzen 6800U in action gaming with the 680M iGPU, and Nvidia 3080Ti eGPU using USB 4, ETA Prime just posted a video with Lenovo Thinkbook 13s: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQVJbaOSEj0

          • @zan5hin: Under My Rewards I have the cash tracked from 3 weeks ago and today:

DATE TRANSACTION APPROVAL DATE (EST) AMOUNT REWARDS STATUS

            27-07-2022
            Lenovo 30-10-2022 AUD $1,779.00 $249.06
            Pending

            11-07-2022
            Lenovo 14-10-2022 AUD $1,800.71 $73.91
            Pending

I don't use any browser extensions, I just make sure ublock is disabled on cashrewards, and lenovo

            • @zan5hin: Hmm odd, ill wait a little longer i was sure i read somewhere it can take a period of time to register but might have to contact them about this. $250 is too much to pass up. I also had adblock off and the cash back extension seemed to work fine. The my rewards section for me is just empty.

On the website, it says sign up and get an extra 10% would that stack? Doubt it I spose.

    • The fine print for the extra 10% promo says you cannot use it with other coupon / discounts. Worth having a try if you have the code. Technically speaking it is generated by lenovo website so fits the cashrewards eligibility criteria.

  • +3

Looks like the deal is done. I hope everyone who wanted to took advantage.

  • Good deal. Managed to place the order just in time. Does this include a fingerprint scanner? The previous deal (custom-built) did but am unsure about this one. Any ideas?

    • yes

      • +1

Just confirmed with Lenovo over chat and part # 82QF0036AU does NOT include a fingerprint scanner. What a bummer!

        • That is a bummer. Do you know is there a way to check the exact specifications for that model, once ordered? It has disappeared off lenovo's website. It is quite deceptive because all the other variants of that laptop always included a finger print scanner as a non-optional item, so I just assumed it would be included with this model as well. I wonder what else is missing. Tempted to cancel the order.

          • +2

@findingbargains: Unless you plan on wearing a face mask while turning it on, can't you just use windows hello?

            • @zan5hin: Yes, of course. I would probably not even use the fingerprint sensor in the end. It's more that I've been looking at this model for a while, waiting for the right deal to drop. So while this is still overall a good deal, I just hate to miss out on all the features that I was expecting. But yes, it is a minor thing overall - I'll get over it :-).

          • @findingbargains: For reference, here are the specs as shared by the Lenovo chat CSR: https://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/Yoga/Yoga_7_14ARB7?M=82QF003…

  • +1

I didn't pull the trigger, 16GB MAX RAM is a no for me.

Just to limiting with music production, i'll hold off for another deal.

    • Damn, non upgradable RAM sucks otherwise this laptop is perfect on paper. Have 2x32gb DDR4 in my Lenovo X1 Xtreme and while it's light and the performance is good the battery doesn't last all that long and it gets really hot. These new AMD APUs are a powerhouse.

      • If I could upgrade, I would of bought 100%

  • cancelled my previous order just to miss out 😂

    • +1

Always order first, then cancel the previous order later. You can always cancel the new order if it's not possible :)

    • +1

So they let you cancel after all? Oh dear! That's a shame, doubt we get a combo of double stacking coupons, instant $100 cashback and 14% cashback ever again.

  • Got one in the end and cashback tracked.

Does this come with a digital pen?

    • Yes

    • How long did it take for your cashback to track?

  • +1

everyone else still patiently waiting for shipment?

    • Yep :'(

    • +1

      mine says this:

      Standard Shipping
      Est. Ship Date: Aug 17,2022

      • What was your order date?

        • +1

lol, curious too. mine is the same as above 'waiting for shipment'

  • Has anyone received their order yet? Can you confirm if the display has any issues? I’m worried and shocked at the reviews relating to the poor display quality that are starting to come through.

    • that sounds pretty bad!

    • The screen issues seem like a common area of concern from touch OLED displays.

      • +1

anyone know if it's free cancellation if it's yet to be shipped?

        • +1

Cancellation is free and very simple, up until they dispatch the device. I've had to do it a few times. I have also ordered this laptop. Hopefully they have resolved the screen quality issue, but if I'm not happy with it after delivery, I'll open a RMA and return it as faulty.

        • Just pass it onto someone else here who wants it.

  • +1

I just cancelled my order because cashrewards declined to honour the cashback for this purchase. They claim the reason my order wasn't tracked is because I used adblock software, but I know I disabled it before clicking through. Also, they have a record of my click, which is how I raised the enquiry with them in the first place. Without cashback, the economics of buying this laptop change considerably. Besides, the reports of OLED touchscreen issues do not fill me with confidence. In any case, I am sure there will be other good discounts in the near future. Cashrewards is obviously a massive scam.

    • +2

I cancelled as well. Wasn't worth the risk with so many reports about the screen

  • noticed more in stock for 19 aug shipping on lenovo website. Guess those are the cancelled stock

  • +1

So, has anyone received theirs yet?

    • +1

Mine still says "Waiting to be shipped", have received the extra charger I bought to hit the $2000 coupon though

  • I would of bought if it was confirmed to arrive this week! I wanted to claim GST as my brother is heading O?>S next week.

    • What is the max time you have to claim GST?

  • +2

my one has shipped today via UPS, apparently will arrive tomorrow

    • It would of been in time, but risky!

My brother leaves Tuesday! Too close to call!

      • +2

        just recieved it this afternoon.

        • That’s brilliant! Congrats. What are the first impressions like? Very keen to hear about the “display” and “battery life”

  • +3

Looks and feels premium. Comparing my slim carbon to this. Carbon is definitely much lighter. The screen is a bit brighter on the yoga 2in1. I can see the slight haze or stuff people talk about but you have to look quite closely to see it. Whereas the slim carbon doesn't show these affects.

  • +3

Just got mine and my lenovo account is still saying it hasn't been shipped yet. I'm really happy with it so far, I was worried about the screen from other users but honestly you can't even tell there is a matrix even on white backgrounds unless you lean right in to like 10 cm away. It just makes white backgrounds look a little darker compared to my surface pro sitting next to it. The fans spun up a bit while I was installing the updates but they are really quiet now while I'm using it for normal browsing. Only had it for an hour so will update after I get some more time with it. Happy so far though.

  • Anyone tried or heard anything about the IPS version of this machine?

  • +6

updating and installing some games on mine. runs really well. It is true the panel does have this slight haze, but to be honest, its not that bad.

Its been able to run everything i've thrown at it, and it always feels like its got a dGPU.

  • Agree with the others. I can be very obsessive about laptop screens but this one is fine for me. However my unit has this dark spot/pixel in the middle of the screen, not sure if its normal dead pixel or just dirt under the screen. Checking the warranty policy, I probably can't ask for repair/replacement (need a lot of dead pixels). But when I took a pic of it and zoomed in, I can see that the spot covers more than 1 pixel. Of course I will be contacting Lenovo on Monday but does anyone have any ideas or similar experience ?

  • +1

The screen honestly isn't the best for the same reasons as previously said however its tolerable. The battery is pretty absymal tho as im only getting 3 hours on power saver mode with everything turned down. Is this the same for others?

    • +2

That's weird my battery is lasting ages, I actually activated only charge up to 80% to save the battery life in lenovo vantage. I deleted every lenovo preinstalled software, mcaffe, and some random amazon apps except vantage. Also disabled almost every unneeded program from loading on startup. Maybe this all helped. When I've done a full drain of the battery I'll let you know how long it lasted.

      • Any updates? I'm still getting 3 maybe 4 hours

  • +3

Received my order yesterday. Won't shy away from saying this has been my BEST EVER LAPTOP purchase! What a powerful machine! Great OLED screen, such an amazing keyboard to type on and the battery life has been as good as it gets for a Windows machine. So happy with the purchase.

    • How long does battery last for u?

      • Over 5 hours easily

  • +1

I got my laptop and I don't really notice the screen issue reported in the reviews. I can see it if I bring my face right up to the screen and specifically look for it but it doesn't affect me during normal use.

  • Anyone using a screen protector with this laptop? Curious which one worked for you
