Hello all
I split a cup of tea in my tv remote and now the right button does not work.
I do not want to buy a universal remote and would like to keep the same remote or brand new same remote.
After ringing stores, I find out that JB HI FI, binglee dont sell remotes.
I now spoke with samsung and got referred to few of the retailers that repair the remote or sell the new one. After visiting and ringing those retailers, they have told me that they cannot repair nor they have one.
I ordered one from Oz Remote now and finally got delivered after a month. I have found that the remote is not the same as the one that i got when i purchased the TV. In addition, The voice command doesnot work in this new remote. I have contacted ozremote now but havenot heard back from them yet.
So, Is anyone in the same boat as me or gone though?
Can you kindly please refer to me where i can get the same remote when we first bought the TV.

Helps if you can confirm the remote model number. If it's BN59-01329C as seems to be then plenty available on eBay or third party stores.

Have you tried opening yours and cleaning out with isopropyl alcohol? Might be all it needs to come back to life.
Edit: Ozremote clearly indicates it's a generic unit and not Samsung original. That's why it's half the price and why it doesn't work properly.
