  Was thinking of getting this as a replacement for a 5 year old 5 series latitude

  Unfortunately the screen is a bummer @ 45% NTSC

  HDMI 2.0 came out in 2013 yet they're still fitting a HDMI 1.4 port in 2022. At least it has Type C with Displayport support.

    Yeh bit of a shame on entry level models trying to cut $1 here or there even the screen wouldn’t be much for Dell to upgrade to 100% rgb but then with those features we are starting to get into mid range I suppose

      For comparison, I have a $300 Mele Quieter 2 that has two HDMI 2.0 ports. I get the cost cutting on screen quality, a better panel probably costs $10 or so, but the difference between HDMI 1.4 & 2.0 has to be measured in cents. If a $300 Chinese mini PC can fit 2x 2.0, Dell can certainly fit at least 1 on a $1k laptop.
