  • I've loved the previous years of this wine. Love that 6 of them are corked.

    • Ah! Sorry no corks this vintage. Apologies. I’ll update the post. Cheers! RD

      • Oh no :(
There's something much more romantic and nostalgic about the corked wines. The Lakesides were really nice 😋

        • +1

I’m inclined to agree. I love getting the corkscrew out! In fact have a nice 2012 McLaren Vale Shiraz lined up for tonight under cork!
Sadly though the market dictates. Cork is king in some markets, not in others. We’re using a lot less cork these days.
Have a great weekend. Cheers! RD :-)

  • Hi, Is there Adelaide City pick-up? Thanks :+)

    • Howdy! I’m afraid not. The wine is warehoused in McLaren Vale at our cellar door. You’re more than welcome to collect from there. Keep in mind the price includes deliver Australia wide. Cheers! RD :-)

  • Just picked up one, thanks op.
I should subscribe to all your posts, pretty sure I’ve picked up the last 3 that you’ve posted

    • Legend! Thanks for that. Really glad you’re enjoying the wines. Bec and I greatly appreciate it. All the best. RD :-)

  • Great deal! Picked up a dozen :)

    • Thanks! Enjoy. RD :-)

  • Limit of one case per order? I went to order several, and only getting the discount on one case.

    • Thanks for the heads up. No limit but hopped in the back-end to fix that problem. Swing away. Cheers! RD :-)

      • Still seem to be seeing the same issue. 😢

        • Sorry mate. I’ll kick someone’s arse on Monday.
In the meantime, checkout for as many as you wish, PM me and I’ll refund the difference.
          Cheers RD :-)

  • All good, thanks RD. Ordered two, in separate orders. Maybe good for my liver that you made me think twice about ordering a 3rd?

    • +1

Thanks for your kind understanding. Apologies for the inconvenience. Cheers! RD :-)

Public Service announcement: Thanks @canberradj for bringing an issue to light. The issue with buying multiple cases has been resolved this morning! Feel very welcome to swing away! Happy Sunday. Cheers! RD :-)

  • Just ordered to try a case. Looking forward to it as run out of my usul pepperjack

  • Did anyone else get the wrong order?

Was looking forward to trying the Lakeside but ended up getting:

    4 x Green Village
    4 x Barbara Hardy
    4 x Pertaringa

    • Hi Alienurbanite. Apologies for the picking error. Can you please PM me the details.
If the Pertaringa has a yellow-ish label that is the Lakeside range. The Barbara Hardy and Village Green are more expensive wines, so you’ve had a win there but I’d still like to follow-up with the team to reiterate the importance of getting things right first time.
      Cheers
      RD :-)

    Hi Guys

My sincere apologies for this post. Thank you to @alienurbanite for bringing the matter to our attention.

After receiving the above post last night I did a little work into the early hours as I began to suspect that there had been a packing error affecting all orders of this pack/post. The team confirmed my fears early this morning and I have asked them to write by email to everyone affected. That email I believe has now been sent.

By way of explanation, it appears there has been a human error in the packing of these orders at our warehouse at our cellar door in McLaren Vale.

As per the post, you would have expected to receive six bottles each of the following:
Bec Hardy SA Shiraz 2021 RRP $17
Pertaringa Lakeside SA Shiraz 2021 RRP $17

You will have or will receive four bottles each of the following:

Nature Foundation Barbara Hardy McLaren Vale Shiraz 2021 RRP $20
Lakeside SA Shiraz 2021 RRP $17
Bec Hardy ‘Village Green’ McLaren Vale Shiraz 2021 RRP $22

The value of the wine you have received is greater than the wines which should have been dispatched to you.

We sincerely apologise for the error and hope that the additional value and slightly better quality wines you have received in error will go someway to mitigating any inconvenience our error may cause. Overnight and into this morning, the team and I have undertaken an internal review after this event and implemented new process to ensure that there will be no recurrence of this particular issue in future.

I have been posting on OzBargain for a number of years now across two businesses. I personally, and both businesses I have led over the last twelve years, have always prided ourselves on attention to detail, excellence in all we do, where that excellence is not merely confined to our vineyards and winemaking but our service delivery too.

We value the OzBargain community and our interactions with you. We pride ourselves on our responsiveness and transparency. Unfortunately, on this occasion we have fallen way short of our own high standards and I can only hope it does not shake your confidence in us to continue to produce and deliver to you outstanding wines at great prices. We are sorry for letting you down.

If any of you would like to discuss the matter personally with me, I can be reached on 0433 166 181 or [email protected]

    Once again, my sincere apologies.

If I can help further please feel very welcome to be in touch.

    Best regards

    Richard

  • That's a classic. First time ordering wine or any sort of alcohol online and I get an email saying the order will be different to what was advertised. Ah well, going to keep an open mind about it.

    • Hi SunnyHx. Thanks for your open mindedness. We are happy to pick the wine up at our cost and refund you in full should you prefer. Cheers! RD

      • All good. Hope you weren't too harsh on the employee who messed up. We've all been there.

        • Hi Suunyhx. Thanks for your concern. We take service delivery and customer experience as importantly as growing wonderful fruit to produce outstanding wines.
In a business where excellence in all we do is a core value there inevitably has to be internal conversations around performance expectations in circumstances where the business has let our valued customers down. If there weren’t it would make the comments in my earlier post somewhat hollow.
          Thanks for your kind understanding
          RD :-)

  • How are the wine? Any feedback on the wine?

    • Hi Congo. There's a bit of feedback on the wines from other posts on deals we've run in the past.
Hope that helps. Cheers! RD :-)

    • I have received my order. Only tried two of the wines so far, the Village Green and Pertaringa. Very good actually

      • Excellent. Thanks Sunny. Great to hear you’re enjoying! Cheers! RD :-)
