    It works, just leave out your middle name for the supplementary card. Did it for the most recent 20k promo, instant approval and new card in a few days.

  I received an offer of 10k points for the platinum charge additional card. Might be worth calling to ask. My experience with Amex is that sometimes offers are only available when you call.

    5000 QF or VA points are worth around $50 (or around 1cpp all things being equal), so yes much better value than $10.

    MR are worth less than straight airline points but are still valuable and also worth more than $10.

  Applied for an additional card on 10th Aug. Still haven't got the 5k bonus. Chased amex say to wait till 10 weeks before the can escalate.
  some of my friends got the points the moment, the additional card was approved.
