Lets you add it to cart but then out of stock when try to buy it.

  • +3

They should really fix their website/stock management system. Not the first time people tried to buy online and either cart show no stock or refund happens the following couple of hours.

  • Got it! Thank you!

  • OOS?

Got one just now (delivery in VIC)
Let's see if I get a refund, or if I need to explain to the partner ^^

bought this from Lego.com on launch day full price as I thought it was exclusive :/

    • +2

I don't trust Lego exclusive promises anymore after the Millennium Falcon.. bought at full price day 1 and keep seeing it sub $1000 now…

    • What was the launch day full price?

    • I fell for this lie also :-(

      $259.99 was the price.

      • now selling for 279.90

    • Exclusive for the first 1-2 months. Then retails stores gets them.

Out of stock online for NSW it seems

  • These Lego sets are confusing, instructions unclear my Lego transformer turned into a real autobot. Help

  • still OK in VIC. ordered just now.

  • Where's the trailer? How can he split into his three components?

    • There’s a few user plans online for the trailer, but the parts will set you back more than Optimus himself

  • This seems like pretty ordinary value when you consider the Lego Voltron model (which is way bigger than this) was going for $173 on special a couple years back.

Yeah but Optimus Prime > Voltron

    • It’s going for $500 now

    • The very nature of LEGO value is a bit messed up to begin with so can't really apply it.
Yes including that Optimus Prime probably is way more popular :P

Heads up, last 2 lego items that shipped from Kmart had zero padding and was shipped in boxes way oversized. Nice dint in both parcels.

  • Got all the way through to payment before notified they are out of stock

  • urghhhhhhhhhhhhhh…. I paid and whilst it was paying it changed to out of stock but it's still gone through

How much would this be in 10 years time, if I decide to buy it as an investment?

    • Nobody knows, but historically LEGO has been a good investment, but that's before people started buying it for an investment… Whereas now people are buying sets to keep in MISB condition. The other issue is that these sets are made in huge quantities. There have been a few collaborations that have gone to massive price hikes, like the concentration camp series.

      • Probably not worth it huh then.. :(

    Why not NT or ACT?

  • OOS :/ dam the website doesnt even state sold out.

  • Crud, I bought this from Kmart online yesterday for $249 - any idea if Kmart will refund the difference?

    • Same! :-( just looking at their price matching policy (https://www.kmart.com.au/pricematch/) and under
"What products or retailers won't we match?"

"We won’t match online only offers, online retailers, clearance or warehouse outlets"

Guessing it's an "Online Exclusive" it'll be difficult to get the price match.

Anyone gone to a store to try get the difference refunded?

  • Nice one OP! I was just able to purchase in Sydney. No stock earlier, but I was checking throughout the afternoon and able to checkout just now.

Fingers crossed it doesn’t get cancelled.

    • Received my order confirmation. Super pumped.
