Was looking for a well-reviewed breadmaker a little while back and settled on this one and then I came to buy it today and it was half price!
Very good deal for 50% off.

  • Rapid bake for fast results
  • Gluten Free Programs
  • Bakes 750g and 1 loaves
  • 23 automatic programs for a variety of bread and dough
  • Power interruption protection

Obviously there are more expensive ones which might do a better job but for < $100, can't go wrong.
Some Amazon reviews state that their breadmaker arrived used so make sure you check for that.

      • Its the first for me to have this issue, normally i assume aesthetically it would not be perfect. But missing pieces and reading your story and others. A bit put off. I would assume at least 20% of my electrical's in my home was purchased online, but this is the first selling a incomplete item as new.

    • Was it meant to come with those accessories? I’ve checked the online manual and it doesn’t mention anything about extra accessories.

      • The manual had the items as in the box items on page 6. So i assume its not extra but just normal items

      • At least the measuring spoon and cup should definitely have been included. Every bread machine I've seen comes with those. So if those are missing, the others were probably meant to be included too. (Though a fruit dispenser is often just part of the machine itself - a flap in the plastic lid that tilts up, put the dried fruit in, click back down.)

  • It was really weird. Spoke to Amazon saying I want to return it. About the pack the item realised have been sent the manual for LBM200 which is the next model up to the BBM100. The BBM100 only comes with the bread tin and kneading blade. No flap or anything for adding fruits. Just add it just before the second cycle of the kneading

I'm a little concerned about people receiving "used" items… mine just arrived. The machine looks new (no marks on the metal tin), but it only came with the kneading blade but there were no other accessories - no measuring spoon, cup etc. Is it actually supposed to come with them?

EDIT - for some reason the other posts didn't appear while I was writing this post. From profaner's post above, "The BBM100 only comes with the bread tin and kneading blade". So I guess that explains it then!

    • Mine arrived today as well - all sealed, wrapped and looking brand new but actually missing the kneading blade. YMMV, but back to Amazon for me…

My little blade was sealed in plastic in a groove in the top styrofoam, next to the power cable

        • Thanks - triple checked and definitely missing from my original box, received my replacement today and everything is brand new and no missing pieces this time.

  • Got mine today, box had been opened and resealed, and the unit itself had marks all over it. Looks like it had been opened up for repairs as there were signs the plastic pieces had been pried open.
Returning for a refund and will buy a new one in store.

  • Wow that is so many returns back, sounds like might not be an Amazon specific issue. Cant imagine that many returned their beadmaker to Amazon and it being passed on as new.
I decided to keep mine, as it seemed "new" enough for me and managed to make 2 loaf of bread with ease.

    Hello all,

Another return here… but slightly different story…

I have been hearing people saying that they have been receiving used items on this post and the reviews… Mine was the opposite, everything looked so nicely sealed and clean. Even the plug still had the plastic covers as well and the plastic covers are all still nicely taped.

But I have other issues. When I plugged the breadmaker and turned on the wall switch (not even pressing anything to start the bread making process) it would always trigger the fuse. I tried moving it to different locations and it would still trigger different fuse as well. I tried all combinations of powerboards, wall outlets etc and it was still doing it.

After many walking back and forth to the fuse box, I decided to return it.

There is a serious issue of dumping happening from Breville to Amazon for this item. If you decide to purchase, please lower your expectations.

    • Could be an isolated issue to your specific breadmaker as I have not seen any reviews which mention your issue (hopefully it is not too widespread as that could be quite an issue). Maybe return it for a replacement?
My item is working very very well, no flipping the breaker, and aside from a number of people mentioning (as I had warned) that their breadmaker seemed to have been opened already, it seems that expectations are well established for a mid-range appliance that only costs $99.
If you get a replacement, hopefully that one doesn't trip the breaker!

I have returned it for a refund.

I normally would just brush it off as being unlucky. However, based on the amount of returns where people find missing items or used items i think Breville was doing some dumping of items here.
