  • Costco always discount these arcade cabinets. Here's a previous deal with better game selection imo

    • 4 player vs 2 player ?

if only you could load tmnt in time, or simpsons

    • Pretty sure I looked into it and can see people who replace them with a NUC or similar to have 100's of games on it

EDIT - Example for a pretty major re-design for one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBpirPzeznY

I'm genuinely curious, if you're going to put a pc in to use emulator, what's the point of these as I saw on fb there are a lot of the "cabinet" only being sold for way cheaper.

        • ya - I bought a flat pack 4 player cabinet about 10 years ago. Cost about $400.
Put a small form factor PC in it and it runs everything.

        • The games included as part of these machines are running on emulators anyway. Not via
a conventional PC emulator but they are definitely not running on original hardware.

The cabinets are also a lot lighter and smaller compared to an original arcade machine. It would take a lot less work to modify so you can run your own PC with emulators.

    • i would do golden axe or that koei 3 kingdoms fighting one.

If you're going to spend that sort of money you can get a custom machine built by any number of quality local builders, and then load it up with ROMs for whatever you want.

Was thinking the same thing, these are a mini cabinet as well with a little riser box on the bottom. Much better options around. I'd only buy one of these for the graphics on the cabinet.

      Suggestions for "quality local builders"?

Remember when these arcade 1ups wouldn't sell and were being cleared out at Aldi for $120? About what they're worth imo, maybe $249 for the 4 player version. For the price they're asking, go for a custom full size cab.

  • Just get anything with a decent Pandora box installed and away you go.

  • That’s a fancy looking mame box.
