    Their selling point is that they're made with sustainable materials and are pretty popular because of it.
    But yeah this is a pretty piss poor price
    I think they've been as little as $50 on here before

  You should try these on at the shops first (Hype and David Jones stock them). I found them rather uncomfortable. Rather stick with something like the Adidas Stan Smiths (which are way cheaper on sale).

  My wife loves these and it drives me nuts because they're crap, even by the standards of glued together sneakers. They fall apart so quickly compared to the Adidas and Converse sneakers she's got.

      Yep. Last pair she had the upper came right off the sole after about 6 months of weekend wear. And then she just bought another pair. Said she likes what they stand for with all there fair-trade and sustainable stuff. They ain't so sustainable when they're in the trash.

  These shoes have a good reputation for being very sustainable. But it seems like economically sustainable for the consumer was not something they place a high priority on. I could buy 4 pairs of vans for this price

  just get Stan smiths, way better quality and cheaper. I had a pair of these and they lasted one summer whereas my Stan smiths are 2 years old and still completely fine.
