Great timing. Looks like I'm going to be flying last minute next week so I'll be on flex fare both ways.

  • Sweet deal, just in time, ta :)

      Sameeeee

      • Where are you all going? Don’t really feel like travelling with all the covid lately.

        • +1

Meh, I feel like Brisbane is the world's hotspot for covid right now. Travelling somewhere isn't going to change my odds of catching it again much.

Work travel. Shit still breaks, I still have to fix it.

  • If you have Silver and you're entitled to have 50% extra points anyway, would that stack or just the 100% extra points? How about then if you were platinum, would that be 200% points? I noted that "Velocity Points offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion", is the above an exclusion then?

This is what they said in their email:

Platinum, Gold and Silver members also earn a Points bonus in addition to the Base Points earned. Silver members will receive an additional 50% Points; Gold members will receive an additional 75% Points; and Platinum members will receive an additional 100% Points. Base Points refers to the minimum number of Points that can be earned for an eligible activity or transaction by a Red member.

      • Wow, thanks. If one was platinum, it would be triple points by the sounds of things.

Anyone know what the standard points and status you would earn for Bris to Melbourne?

Trying to work out if I have been allocated the double points or not.

    • +2

It depends on your status. It's usually five points per dollar and more the higher your status is.

FWIW, a Business Class flight usually nets you 80 SC.

      Also,

You should allow up to 4 weeks after completion of travel for the bonus Velocity Points to be allocated.

It hasn't been four weeks yet.
